Well yesterday was another day of what could have been, although Final Word did have a couple of winner’s but only a couple, so let’s start this new month with a Bang… Charlie will lead the way with Sunday Service and Rich will have the Final Word ….

Charlie’s Sunday Service

.Has placed 3 times from last 5 runs and finished 4th the other twice. Latest 2nd was here over 3m 1f in May. Was a dual course and distance winner last season has since changed yards although jock Becky Smith was onboard for both of those wins and she is onboard again today, all this points to another bold display and if repeating the run from last time could be enough to take the spoils here.

Win Advised

.Band of Outlaws runs here for the in form Joseph O’Brien who could turn water into wine at the moment. This 3yr Old has been in good form of late although without a win since November last year, has ran quite well in handicaps of late finishing 3rd at Naas over 6f before being upped in distance to 1m at Navan in April finishing 2nd. Latest run here over 1m in May finishing 6th. Gets an age allowance here and that could be a game changer and puts it right in the mix here with another bold run looking likely.

Win Advised

.Has placed twice and won once from last 3 starts, the places were at Stratford over 2m 3f in April finishing 2nd. The next place came at Towcester over 2m 6f again in April finishing 3rd. Was dropped in trip for latest jaunt at Ayr over 2m in June and won by 8 lengths has been raised 8lbs for that strong victory and takes another drop in distance here to 1m 7f and 214y, if repeating the run from last time could be enough to rack another win here although will need a strong pace and a bit of luck.

Win Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you over to Rich for The Final Word.

Rich’s Final Word

That was a fascinating Irish Derby yesterday and congrats to Joseph O’Brien for landing it, amazing what he has achieved at only 25!

There is more to come from the Curragh today & I will bring you that shortly, but first I have TWO from Windsor…

Let’s start with the opening race at1.50, a Class 5 Handicap for 3yo Only over 6f and Kimifive looks like the one to beat. A runner up here over 5f, in a C5 Novice contest by a neck in May and that race has seen the 3rd winning both runs since and also Kimifive, who won here over C/D in a 6f C3 event last Saturday by 2 & 1/4 lengths and although runs with a penalty, drops down a couple of classes… The Danger could come Tivoli, who was unplaced in a Listed Class 1 over 6f at Nottingham after landing a 7f C4 race at Wolverhampton on the AW….

Next up is the 3.00 C3 Handicap for 3yo Only over 5f. A winner on her last two starts has Kodiac Express looking for a Three timer. The filly won by 1/2 a length when beating Puds at Nottingham over 5f and there is now a 2Lb swing between the pair, but Kodiac Express runs from bottom weight and is now sent up in class..

Now it’s Curragh time…..

And Joseph O’Brien has a very nice Acclamiation filly running in the 2.55 Fillies’ Group 3 for 2yo Only over 6f. Cava, who has only had one run, was a winner on debut in a Fairyhouse 6f maiden, coming out on top by 1/2 a length on June 15th and the 5th from the race has since won and he find’s himself, with 2 runners in this against his Father Aidan, who has a 3 pronged attack led by Ryan Moore on the Scat Daddy filly So Perfect…..

After 11 months away from the track, today see’s the welcome return(for me anyway) of Stellar Mass, the Sea the Star colt is now 5 and was 3rd in the 2016 Irish Derby to Harzand. Won a Listed and a Group 3 folloowing that race, but seeming lost his way and was last seen in August last year, finishing a 3 length 3rd in a Group 3 (1m 2f) Ballyroam Stakes to Spanish Steps and makes return today in the 3.30 International Stakes over 1m 2f….

Both Windsor & Curagh races can be viewed on At The Races today…

That is all for today…. NO wait… My Trackers ….

That really is all folks. Interviews return tonight….. Keep them Peeled!

All the best – Charlie & Rich
