3 All Weather meeting’s & a National Hunt please…..

Before we get started with the Peoples Nap Choices, I think it’s well worth mentioning Charlie’s Full house yesterday 3/3, 2 with nice prices too, which was top draw & richly deserved. Add that to the PN winning, it was a welcome reward for our hard work over the last few weeks, all the frustration & disappointment we have encountered on a daily basis, the odd winner here & there but for it all to come together on the same day was testament to our unwavering commitment to the cause. Now we have to follow that…..

Was 2nd here last time out to Jungle Cat, coming from the back of the field, weaving through the field with a strong finish to get within 2 lengths of the winner. .

.Dashing Star -was 5th last time out at Lingfield but was first race since November and I feel that was just a run to sharpen horse up and today could see them rewarded at a nice price. Advised at 9-1

Testing Tuesday…… Let’s do this!

Peoples Nap Choices

Exeter -Good, good to soft

4.15 – Handicap Chase – Class 3 – 3m 54y

Kap Jazz– Since falling at Lingfield in November, he has won 2 on the bounce. At Carlise by 10 lengths & last time out in this class over 2m 4f at Ludlow by  2 lengths. Raised 6 for the win & up in trip – 3/1

.

Southwell – AW – Fibresand

5.00 – Sprint Handicap – Class 5 – 6f

Meshardal – 3rd on return at Newcastle in this class & over 6f, was 1st run for 158days, now rated 66, the once rated 90 sprinter still has plenty to go if retaining any of old form. Twice a C/D winner back in 2014 & was a close up 2nd over C/D when last here in March 2015 – 4/1

.

Wetherby – Good

5.10 – Novice Handicap Hurdle(Div2) – Class 5 – 2m 3f 154y

Ask Paddy – On a 4 timer after a 2 & 3/4 length win in a class 4 handicap at Sedgefield, had previously won 2 Class 5 handicaps over 2m 3f with ease, runs with a penalty & could still have plenty in hand – 6/4

.Monday’s Results

PN Result (Monday) – Hint of Mint – Had a jockey change & was back in the field when falling. Happy to report Jockey & Horse were both ok.

Charlie’s Results

Beggars Wishes – Won Advised at 11-2 although was a 10p rule 4 deduction due to a non runner.

Leg Lock Luke – Unseated rider when looking like the winner after jumping the last and running on and is a loss.

The Warrior – 2nd and was another loss.

.A bit dissapointed to only come away with one winner from my 3 selections today but that’s racing for you, sometimes the horse’s don’t follow the gameplan.

.

Best of the rest ……

Exeter – 3.05- Handicap Hurdle – C4 – 2m 2f 11y

Galactic Power – Both wins in this class have come off a similar mark(83), now raised 3 for 2 & 3/4 length win at Catterick from Snowed In…..

Wetherby – 4.00 – Handicap Chase – Class 4 – 2m 5f 75y

Powerful Symbol – This PTP winner is still a rules maiden despite some decent performances, was 3 lengths clear when Unseating Aiden Coleman at Catterick in a C5 in Mid February & then a 10 Length 2nd to Sunny Legend last time out, but 14 lengths clear of 3rd….. 1st time tongue tie!

Southwell – 2.40 -Handicap – Class 5 – 1m 4f

The Lock Master – 3rd last time out over 1m 3f in a apprentice handicap, beaten 1 & 1/4 lengths having previously won here over today’s distance (1m 4f) by 2 & 1/2 lengths in C6 handicap. Has won off a mark of 75, so now 70, looks well treated with Silvester De Sousa in the saddle & runs from same mark as last time out…..

 Charlie’s Selections

Exeter 3.05 Steel  City 11-1 E/W

.Was 3rd at Lingfield over 2m back in December before two disappointing 8th places first at Lingfield over 2m then at Southwell over 2m 4f then raced at Huntingdon over 1m 7f and placed 3rd again. Is now 7lb lower than when 3rd at Lingfield back in December and looks well treated for place claims here.

.

Wetherby 4.00  Swing Hard 9-2 Win

.Placed 2nd here recently over 3m the drop in distance shouldn’t be a problem has also dropped to 5lb below last win at Carlisle over 2m 4f but that was last season and a chance is taken on the win here.

Win Advised

.

Southwell 4.25 War Department 7-2 Win

.Has won and placed 2nd both at Newcastle over 7f recently and has been doing well since joining K Dalgleish has ran well here before placing 2nd back in January over 7f and looks like a main player in this wide open race.
