There are some interesting outsiders at Doncaster on Saturday….. Here’s Rich’s Finding’s –
.
Going – Good to soft
1.50 – Cammidge Trophy – Class 1 Listed – 6f
Buying Trouble – Is a big price(28/1) for a horse that has placed 2nd in 2 Class 1 Listed races last season & has had 2 runs over 5 & 7f on all weather to be ready for this race. Both 2nd places were over 6F…..
.
2.25 – Spring Mile(Handicap) – Class 2 – 1m
Raising Sand – Was run over 1m 2f last time out at Chelmsford in October when finishing 7th, 3 & 1/2 lengths behind winner Banditry. Is a winner on this ground at Ffos Las last July & has 2 wins & 2nd place for 3 runs over this distance plus the draw has been kind too
.
3.00 – Mile Stakes – Class 1 Listed – 1m
Dawn of Hope – Won a Listed race in France when last seen in November over 1m 1f. Has run in 3 Class 1 Listed races but has not placed yet, but this Mastercraftsman Filly out of a Saddlers Wells mare has won under these conditions before & has also won on seasonal return at Ascot last season
.
& Finally ……. Back to Kempton…
3.15 -Handicap – Class 2 – 1m 3f
Final – 2nd to Ickymasho by 2 lengths in a Class 4 handicap at Chelmsford, before winning last time out at Newcastle, again in a Class 4 handicap by 1 & 1/2 lengths. Ickymasho won in this class on Thursday at Chelmsford & I see no reason why Final cannot go close despite the leap of 2 classes.
