Blockbuster Weekend

27817

It is here…… Arc Weekend in Chantilly & Newmarket holding another first class card with some cracking group races to look forward too… All 3 PN Choices are Group races….. So here we go….

Peoples Nap Choices

Newmarket – Good to Soft

2.20 – Cheveley Park Stakes – Fillies’ Group 1 Class 1 – 2YO Only – 6f

Clemmie – Curragh Group3 Fillies’ 6f winner in July before winning here on the July course in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes(Fillies’ Group 2) not seen since – 13/8

.

2.55 – Middle Park Stakes – Group 1 Class 1 – 2YO Only – 6f

Unfortunately – Although not a UK Group winner, he has won Two Group races in France, beating Frozen Angel(Group 2 by 1/2 a length) in July & last time out beating Havana Grey(Group 1) by 1 & 1/4 lengths in Deauville. 2nd when last seen on a UK track in a Pontefract class 2 conditions Stakes  by a neck to Zaman – 9/2

.

Chantiily – Soft

3.25 – Prix Dollar – Group 2 – 1m 2f

Avilius – 2nd to Cracksman here on trials day in a Group 2 contest having previously been 3rd to Eminent in the Group 2 D’Ornano & 3rd to Finche in the Eugene Adam(Group 2), last run was over 1m 4f, now drops back in trip – 5/1

.

PN Result(Friday) – Beat the Bank – 11/8 WINNER…..

Here is Charlie to give you the details of his cracking pair of winners & a look at his thoughts for today’s racing & I will see you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, we will kick things off with Friday’s Results :

Inn The Bull -Won as expected advised at 3-1 but drifted to 5-1

Cool Team -Won as expected advised at 5-2 returned with an Sp of 4-1

Abingdon -Was a tad unlucky was backed from 3-1 into 7-4 but could only manage 3rd and was a loss

.Two nice winners from the 3 I put up on Friday, on another day would have been a full house but will settle for two winners. My selections for Saturday are listed below.

Charlie’s Selections

aviary-image-1506755360230

.Lord Of The Rock -Won last time out at York over 7f, is lightly raced for a 5yr old and there could be more to come and at 7-1 looks like the value play here.

Win Advised

.

.Trumps Up -Has won both starts with minimum fuss, first at Leicester then at Thirsk both over 7f, sets the standard here and could easily go in again if in same frame of mind going handicapping for first time.

Win Advised

.

.Caid Du Lin -Has yet to win for Dr Richard Newland since switching yards although was 2nd at Stratford over 2m in a Class 2 handicap hurdle on 9th September, sloppy jumping caused him the race on that occasion and if getting a clear round this time should go one better here.

Win Advised

.Well that’s my thoughts on Saturday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket.

Charlie’s Football Bet

.aviary-image-1506766714802

Today’s football bet is an over 2.5 goal acca iv staked £2 on this and suggest a small stake as football is slightly harder to get right than horses, and after last weeks 1 goal away effort we go again hopefully today’s has more luck. I will pass you over to Rich for his football bet and final word.

Rich’s Saturday Football Selection – Aston Villa, Wigan, Coventry & Dortmund all to WIN – 4.64/1 ADD Man Utd, Spurs & PSG to increase value. If your looking for Anytime Goal scorer’s you cannot go far wrong from Kane(Spurs) Lukaku(Man Utd) & Dembele(Celtic)

Final Word

I’m pretty sure that some people think that I just look for the favourite for the PN, I look at 70% of horses with form in the race, I could of quite easily put Nelson up tomorrow, but I haven’t, in fact I have gone against the Frankel colt with Mark Johnstone’s Mildenberger(1.50) who has 3 wins from 4 runs & had James Garfield(Mill Reef winner) & Seahenge(Champagne Stakes) in behind when 3rd in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood before landing a Listed race at Salisbury last time out. The other Two I found are PN choices …..

Over in Chantilly Karl Burke & Ontoawinner run Crown Vallary(2.45) who has 1 win from 3 races, 2nd on debut to Rockfel winner Juliet Capulet on debut back in July, won a Clairefontaine maiden in August before a 2nd last time out at Maisons-Laffilte before Vazirabad(4.12) tries to go one better than runner up in the Prix Du Cadran, 2nd last year to Quest for More, takes on Big Orange this year, with both in cracking form but Vazirabad has had this race as a target all season, so I expect these two to be at the forefront in the final furlong……

Thanks for popping by…… Remember keep stakes small or watch…..

All the best – Charlie & Rich

Yah it’s Friday…….

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

It’s finally the end of the working week

& the weekend ahead, which yields the Arc weekend at Chantilly & Newmarket hold a fantastic card with plenty of Group contest’s on the card…. Anyway that is still a day away & it’s better to think about today than the future right now…..

Peoples Nap Choices

Newmarket – Good to Soft

3.35 – Joel Stakes – Group 2 Class 1 – 1m

Beat the Bank – C/D winner of the Henry Cecil Stakes(Class 1 Listed) back in July by 3 lengths before landing the Thouroughbred Stakes(Group 3 Class 1) 1m at Goodwood by 3 lengths on soft ground – 5/2

.

5.20 – Handicap – Class 2 – 1m 1f

Fire Brigade – 1m course winner in a class 4 handicap by 1/2 a length on soft ground in May, won again at Haydock over 1m again in a class 4 handicap by 1 & 3/4  lengths. Beaten a neck last time in a class 3 handicap to Cape Byron, both 7 lengths clear of 3rd. Up in class & an extra furlong – 4/1

.

Haydock – Heavy

4.30 – Handicap – Class 3 – 3YO Only – 1m 6f

Taxmeifyoucan – C/D winner last time out by 1/2 a length from Face the Facts in these conditions(Heavy), that was the 3rd win on the flat in 3 runs in a class 2 handicap. Runner up has since won the Rose Bowl Stakes(2m) at Newmarket yesterday, while 3rd Time to Study has also since won a Doncaster class 2 – 9/4

.

PN Result(Thursday) – Elarqam – Won – 11/8 SP

Now Charlie will take you through his thoughts for today & yesterday… Catch you all for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, we will kick things off with Thursday’s results :

Rigolleto -finished a Dissapointing 7th and was a loss

Joe’s Spirit – was another Dissapointing runner finishing 10th and was a loss

Sailor’s Warn -was a non runner at least I got stake refunded to ease the blow of the 2 losses a little.

.A poor day from me with only a non runner to cheer about, hopefully i have picked the right 3 for Friday listed below.

Charlie’s Selections

aviary-image-1506635356957

.Inn The Bull -Won on hurdling debut last October, made a reappearance on the flat but was well beaten twice although was 2nd at Newbury in June. Returns to hurdling today over 2m and if handling the extra distance could be the one to beat.

Win Advised

.

.Cool Team -Sole win came on turf over 1m at Yarmouth on the 12th July. Was 3rd at Kempton in a Class 4 apprentice Handicap off this mark latest. Had maiden form on this surface as a 2yr Old and could be involved here if handling the extra distance.

Win Advised

.

.Abingdon -Won at Pontefract over 1m 4f in a Class 1 listed race in June. Has placed at Haydock and Deauville since then but was out of her debth in the Yorkshire Oaks latest. Takes a slight drop in trip and class here and is taken to land the win here with P Smullen doing the steering.

Win Advised

.

.Well that’s my thoughts on Friday’s Selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

.

Final Word –

.

I cannot thank you all enough for carrying on voting for the PN, it has been a very good month, so much better than the previous two & with a couple of days to go things are looking as if it could be a black mark instead of red again. Newmarket is again has a fantastic card & I could of easily had all 3 PN Choices from there & I must confess I only looked at 3 Cards for Friday, including Dundalk.

To Eternity(Newmarket 2.25) was poor by her high standards last time but is a course Listed winner & drops back to that distance after the failed try over 1 & 1/2 length further when last of 13 to Defoe, ground will not be an issue & 2nd try at Group level can give a account & Nyaleti(3.00) was only beaten 1/2 a length by Laurens in a Doncaster Group 2 1m last time, now drops back a furlong to try at 7f again. Having previously finished 2nd to September over that distance in the Chesham in July.

Haydock ground will be heavy, so from that I think Porchy Party(3.55) a heavy ground winner last time out at Chester in a class 3 by 1 & 3/4 lengths just 13 days ago from Marbel Lee, takes a rise in class but this should hold no fear.

All the best if you follow, remember to only bet what you can afford to lose, if not just watch what will be a cracking day of racing & the weekend will be a joy too.

We will reveal our Arc selections on Sunday’s blog, so make sure you tune in & also keep your eyes open for a ARC 3 Furlong Out Special……..

Cheers – Charlie & Rich

Nearly Friday……

Frankel-679x1024
Frankel

Another poor show from my PN choices….. Let’s hope I have picked the right 3 for Thursday……

Peoples Nap Choices

Pontefract – Soft

2.55 – Fillies’ Nursery – Class 4 – 2YO Only – 1m 6y

Dathanna – Stepped up from 2 unplaced 6f runs to 7f, winning twice at Newmarket in a class 4 novice stakes & a class 2 fillies’ nursery by a short head, both runs on soft ground. Steps up to 1m – 9/4

Newmarket – Good

3.45 – Tattersalls Stakes – Group 3 Class 1 – 2YO Only – 7f

Elarqam – A convincing 3 & 3/4 length winner on debut at York in a class 3 novice contest, 3rd & 4th have both since won, major step up in class – 7/4

Chelmsford(AW) – Standard

9.15 – Maiden – Class 5 – 1m 2f

Hyperloop – Two runner up spots & a 3rd place from 3 runs since debut at Kempton(AW) in June. Runner up to Big Tour in a Windsor 1m class 5 maiden before going down by a head to High End at this course in a class 4 maiden. High End has since won a couple Class 3 & 4 handicap’s before finishing runner up in a York class 2 handicap – 7/4

PN Result(Wednesday) – Frankuus – Frank Spencer more than Frankel – Unplaced

Over to Charlie now & I will see you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, we will kick things off with Wednesday’s Results :

Landmeafortune – Won as expected Advised at 11-4 returned with a Sp of 9-4

Rema Al Kuwait -Tailed off and was a loss.

Semana Santa -Finished a Dissapointing 5th after running out of steam and was a loss.

.Just the one winner again from my 3 selections, hopefully get a better run from tomorrow’s Selections listed below.

Charlie’s Selections

aviary-image-1506547934434

.Rigolleto -Has won 3 races from last 6 run’s, latest victory was at Chepstow over 1m on Good to soft ground. Has been raised 8lb for that and has the best recent form in the race, still remains progressive and another bold display can’t be ruled out here.

Win Advised

.

.Joe’s Spirit -Has won Twice here including over 6 and 7f. Is 6lb higher than most recent win on the 8th August and is drawn in an ideal position to attack from stall 1. Silvestre De Sousa retains the ride and another bold display looks likely.

Win Advised

.

.Sailor’s Warn -Won over 2m over hurdles 2 starts back at Stratford in June, makes a return to the flat here. Looks very interesting off a lower mark and if transferring that form to the flat could be hard to beat and at 9-1 is a nice price.

Well that’s my thoughts on Thursday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

.

Final Word

Newmarket has a first class card & I was tempted to call this the Frankel’s word …..

Midi(2.00) makes his debut in the opener, the Frankel Colt, brother to Mori & closely related to Midterm makes debut for Sir Michael Stoute with Ryan Moore on board, we have Elarqam(PN Choice) another Frankel, while UAE King(4.20) is back in Listed action & up in trip to 2m, a distance he won at in a class 2 handicap at Ascot. There are your 3 Frankel runners.

Also at Newmarket I like Tadleel(2.35) who has 2 wins from last 4 runs including at Newmarket, a winner last time too at Kempton (AW) over 1m. & finally at Chelmsford Amazing Alice(6.15) drops back to 6f from a 3rd in a class 2 conditions race at the course, with the runner up in the race winning a class 2 nursery & is a double figure price with a decent draw!

Thanks as always for your support & remember to keep stakes small, if not just watch!

All the best – Charlie & Rich

Wondering Wednesday…..

img_20160521_111244

This game is tough….. Easy to find winners they say, it’s all in the form or handicapping….. ok, well it’s not! WE can study all we like, but if the horse has an off day or the jockey leaves it too much to do… Then what can we do??? Anyway…. Moan over….

People’s Nap Choices

Goodwood – Soft

3.10 – Handicap – Class 4 -1m 2f

Me Too Nagasaki – Won at Doncaster in a class 3 1m handicap on heavy ground, 2nd over 1m last time in a class 4 handicap, with 1st, 3rd & 4th have all won since last seen, up in trip -13/8

.

3.45 – Foundation Stakes – Class 1 Listed – 1m 2f

Frankuus – Haydock Listed winner this time last year before winning a Chantilly Group 3 contest. Took a while to get going this term before a 2nd to Defoe in a Hamilton Listed contest. Won again at Haydock in a Group 3 before finishing a disappointing 8 length 5th to Fabricate in a Group 3 at Windsor on good to firm ground, prefers softer ground so this is perfect – 11/4

.

Kempton(AW) – Standard to Slow

8.40 – Handicap – Class 3 – 3YO Only – 1m 3f

Alfarris – Won by a short head last time out form Barwell & Statesman was back in 3rd, Barwell has since won & Statesman won 2 from the next 3, 2 in class 2. Ran twice on the AW at Chelsford in May, winning a maiden & beaten runner up by a short head, could be a head bobber – 7/2

.

PN Result(Tuesday) – Harba – Unplaced

I will hand you to Charlie to deliver his thoughts on today & yesterday. Final Word follows……

Cheers Rich, we will kick things off with Tuesday’s results :

Life Knowledge – Was unplaced and was a loss.

Gripper – Was unplaced and was another loss.

Billy Two Tongues – Was unplaced and was yet another loss.

. Not the day I wanted with all 3 selections not running as I’d hoped, hopefully get back on track with Wednesday’s selections listed below.

Charlie’s Selections

Perth 1 tip placed
 Landmeafortune (Nap)
Perth 17:05 • 27th Sep ’17
Win @ 11/4

Won on heavy ground at Ayr over 3m back in January. Was then 2nd at Carlisle over 3m in February, was then sent here in April and was 3rd over 3m 6f. Takes a considerable drop in distance here but ground isn’t an issue and if fully fit after break could easily take this race.

Redcar 2 tips placed
 Rema Al Kuwait (Nb)
Redcar 14:00 • 27th Sep ’17
Win @ 9/1

Expensive purchase at £100,000 for D O’meara yard, has shaped well in first few races and the further distance in this race and first spell in a handicap are positives here and a bold run can’t be discounted.

 Semana Santa (3b)
Redcar 17:45 • 27th Sep ’17
Win @ 12/1

Won on tapeta last April, but hasn’t added to that, although has placed a couple of times since. Has slipped to a dangerous Mark and takes a drop in grade here and I feel today could be the day for that elusive win.

.Well that’s my thoughts on Wednesday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

Rich’s Final Word

The weekend edges closer & soon final declarations will be made for the Arc on Sunday….. I’m sure 3 Furlongs Out will be putting something out, maybe with Stats & Runners & History maybe….. I’m sure Charlie & Myself found the winner of last years Melbourne cup…. Also the new 3 Furlongs Out magazine is released this weekend too. Charlie & myself have submitted a few pieces, so keep your eyes peeled for that too…

I only looked at Goodwood & Kempton today, apart from the PN Choices I only found 2 others at really short prices – Setting Sail, debut 2nd by 3/4’s of a length at 1m steps up to 1m 2f & in class from 4 to 3 at Goodwood(2.10) While Barton Mills looks to improve on the runner up spot in a class 4 novice race, having been beaten 1/2 a length on debut & 4th has since won, with the front Two, 2 & 1/2 lengths clear of 3rd runs at Kempton(6.40)

That’s a wrap guys good luck with your bets and enjoy the rest of your day.

Charlie and Rich

Today’s Tuesday……

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

Not the start to the week I would have liked for the PN, but hey ho, was always going to be tough after Saturday, Charlie’s Nap landed , congrats to him. We always go again, so here we go again on our own……

Peoples Nap Choices

Lingfield(AW) – Standard

3.40 – Nursery – Class 5 – 2YO Only – 5f 6y

Maygold – 1 & 1/3 length runner up last time out to Roundhay Park in a Bath class 5 Nursery, run’s off the same mark – 4/1

.

Chelmsford (AW) – Standard

7.40 – Fillies’ Handicap – Class 4 – 1m

Harba – Unseated Pat Cosgrave on AW debut. Won 3 on the trot in class 5 company, 1 maiden & 2 handicaps before a 4 & 1/2 length runner up to Peach Melba in a class 3 handicap at Lingfiled in good to soft ground over 7 & 1/2f, slightly up in trip but down in class – 5/2

.

8.10 – Fillies’ Maiden – Class 5 – 1m

Narjes – Only beaten 1/2 a length last 2 runs at Kempton(AW). Last run over 1m, when 2nd to Ventura Blues, who was beaten a neck at Kempton(AW) yesterday – 5/2

.

PN Result(Monday) – Mudallel – Unplaced

.

Here’s Charlie to talk you through his thought for today & a reminder of yesterday, I’ll catch you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, we will kick things off with a recap on Monday’s results :

Soie Dleau – Won as expected Advised at 2-1

Lightning Charlie -certainly wasn’t Lighting fast more like frightening last and left me looking like a right Charlie.

Intimately – Didn’t get intimate with winners enclosure and was a loss.

Just the one winner with my Nap but that’s racing for you. It helps keeping a sense of humor when things don’t go our way, as it’s all too easy to get worked up and lose direction. Anyway enough of my rambling let’s look at Tuesday’s selections listed below :

Charlie’s Selections

 Beverley 1 tip placed
 Life Knowledge (3b)
Beverley 17:55 • 26th Sep ’17                    Win @ 9/1

Has one win from 3 runs this year and  was a fair 2nd when last seen at Hamilton, been off track for 142 days and looks reasonably treated for return and if fully race ready could be in the mix here at a decent price.

Lingfield
1 tip placed
 Gripper (Nap)
Lingfield 14:35 • 26th Sep ’17
Win @ 2/1

Was a reasonable 4th on debut at Wolverhampton 26 days ago, wouldn’t have to progress too much to take this race and is a fair 2-1 chance to land first victory here.

Warwick
1 tip placed
 Billy Two Tongues (Nb)
Warwick 16:35 • 26th Sep ’17
Win @ 7/1

Won first 2 starts over fences early last season, has failed to land a blow since but has had excuses last twice remains on a workable mark and this seems to be his time of year and a chance is taken for the win in this race.

Well that’s my thoughts on Tuesday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word section.

Rich’s Final Word –

I think Graffiti Master could be one to watch over the winter & early next summer after finally winning today & Golden Birthday will also be one I will be following closely over the winter. Now onto today’s finding’s …… Pretty Passe(4.15) was runner up on AW debut at Wolves last time, with 3rd since winning, this looks a good chance to get the head in front.

While at Beverley Weellan(2.45) who was 2nd in a class 2 Nursery last time by a short head drops to class 5 looking to shed the maiden tag & Mr Cool Cash(4.25) will be looking to add to the 2 C/D wins after a fine runner up spot last time out & is now rated 2 below last win mark. And the NH card at Warwick, Premier Rose is hoping to make it 3 from 3 since changing yards when stepping up to 3m after a 4 & 1/2 length win in a class 4 handicap hurdle……

& Finally Charlie has a bit of a treat…… The floor is all yours mate…..

This space is normally for Rich to add some horses of interest, but I found one interesting runner that I thought I would share so here goes –

Chelmsford 9.10

Hurricane Rock – Has only been raced 9 times and won last time out at Wolverhampton, the 2nd placed horse has won since and Hurricane Rock is only 5lb higher here and could still have more to come was priced around 7-1 at time of writing and should be at least half that price considering the form has since been franked.

Cheers for following our blog we appreciate everyone of you. All the best for today’s races and once again Good Luck.

Charlie and Rich

Minimal Monday…..

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

Well it’s that time of the week again….. Monday, yep the day we all dread after a weekend off from work….. Saturday seems a long way off now…. Like a distant memory, well all things are distant memory when you get of a certain age! So let’s get down to business, here are the PN Choices –

Peoples Nap Choices

Leicester – Soft

4.15 – Maiden Stakes – Class 5 – 1m

Golden Birthday – 2m Class 2 winning hurdler at Newton Abbott earlier this month by 10 lengths from Wait for Me, who has since won a class 4 chase. Golden Birthday is also a class 6 NH Flat race winner back in May 2016. Make Flat debut with Fran Berry on board – 4/1

.

5.45 – Hands & Heels Apprentice Handicap – Class 6 – 7f

The Groove – Winner at Salisbury 1m apprentice class 5 handicap by a nose under this rider, Manuel Fernandes. Beaten by a head last time out at Ffos Las in a class 6 7f & 1/2f handicap. Runs off the same mark – 11/4

.

Kempton(AW) – Standard to Slow

5.05 – Handicap – Class 4 – 1m

Mundallel -2 X C/D winner since stepping up to 1m. Last time out class4 handicap C/D winner by 1/2 a length from Ventura Blues, who won next time out & re opposes today – 4/1

.

You had the PN Result on Sunday, so ill pass you to Charlie for his thought’s on todays racing & I will see you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, let’s kick things off with Monday’s selections listed below :

Charlie’s Selections

Kempton 1 tip placed
 Lightning Charlie (3b)
Kempton 16:35 • 25th Sep ’17

Each-Way @ 9/1

Course and distance winner, latest victory was at Ascot in July although was poor at Windsor 35 days ago. Has been consistent in the past on all weather and would be no surprise if he is bang there at the business end of race even though he has a wide draw to overcome.

Leicester 2 tips placed
 Soie Dleau (Nap)
Leicester 15:40 • 25th Sep ’17

Win @ 2/1

Was 2nd last time out at Haydock 16 days ago and can go one better here in a slightly easier race.

 Intimately (Nb)
Leicester 17:45 • 25th Sep ’17
Each-Way @ 7/1

Course and distance winner, won at Brighton 14 days ago and is only 2lb higher here and could go in again if race is run in a similar way.

.Well there you have my thoughts on Monday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

Rich’s Final Word

Saturday was awesome, I knew I was capable of landing a full house of PN Choices, with quite a few 2 out of 3 or Meatloaf as we call it now & plenty of close call with the choices placing but not winning, so i’m glad the monkey is off my back…..

Nice Comeback win from Quiet Reflection at Naas yesterday, were see if she/how she runs on Champions Day at Ascot. It’s also a shame Cracksman will not go to the Arc instead will be at Ascot, there’s always next year!

I only found a couple of others today, Graffiti Master(Not Banksy) aims to improve on debut 4th at Sandown, when looking to make the improvement needed to go to the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster, runs at Kempton 2.25. While in Ireland at Roscommon there is a mixed card & I think Alto Esqua, who won on chase debut & has heavy going form can throw it up to Landofhopeandglory & Montana Belle in the Grade 3 Novice Chase at 3.55…….

Thanks for popping by & for your support… Remember if you bet, only what you can afford to lose OR just watch…..

Best of Luck Charlie & Rich

Saturday’s Results

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

Well Saturday was a bit of a mixed bag although Rich had a great day with the People’s Nap, we will get to that in a bit but first it’s my results under the microscope :

Charlie’s Results

Mont Kiara -Had looked the likely winner when taking lead 2f out but was beaten 3/4 length into 2nd and was a loss.

.

Je Suis Charlie – Had looked like the winner when hitting the front 2f out but was joined at the furlong marker and was beaten 1/2 length into 2nd and was a loss.

.

Magic Moments – Tracked leaders until forced wide after being hampered 1f out and finished 4th as a result and was another loss.

.Unlucky day for my 3 selections just losing when either leading or making a challenge for lead. These thing’s happen from time to time we dust ourselves down and march onward.

Charlie’s BTTS and win Results

Celtic –Did their bit by winning 2-0 although Rangers didn’t score so bet lost.

Tottenham -Won 3-2 after having a man sent off and this leg won advised at 11-5

RB Leipzig -Won 2-1 and this leg also landed advised at 5-2

.Really unlucky with my BTTS and Win Treble missing out by one goal, would have been nice to land the treble as it paid 32.6-1 for a pound stake. Hopefully get the win with next Saturday’s attempt.

Rich’s Results

The People’s Nap – Kind Act -Won advised at 11/10

The other two choices Star Rock and James Garfield also won both Advised at 4-1

Fantastic stuff from Rich landing a full house on the People’s Nap Choices on a tough Saturday, just proves that if you put in the effort profit can be made on a difficult day.

Rich’s Football Acca Results

Burnley – Finished 0-0

Man Utd – Won 1-0

Preston – Finished 0-0

Wolves – Won 2-1

Two games from 4 landed for Rich on his football Acca meaning a small loss on the Football although he did mention a couple of players who scored.

As mentioned at the start of this post today was a bit of a mixed bag in regards to results, although credit has to be given for Rich’s full house on The People’s Nap as that was top shooting.

Thanks for taking the time to read our blog and hopefully some backed a winner or two along the way.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend guys

from Charlie and Rich

Saturday’s Session

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

Another week done and dusted as we move into the weekend with some fantastic racing and football to get our teeth into, but before all that let’s get down to Friday’s results :

Charlie’s Results

Smugglers Creek -Was 2nd an therefore a loss.

Mohayyen – Was unplaced and was another loss.

Rinaria – Was unplaced and was yet another loss.

.Well Friday was a poor day by my standards, meaning that the week ended unprofitable, hopefully that will change with Saturday’s horses and football selections.

.

Peoples Nap Result(Friday) – Second Thought – Unplaced

Yesterday’s PN Choices were simply not good enough, while we have enjoyed a few winners again this week… I must do better…. Here are today’s choices –

Peoples Nap Choices

Newmarket – Good

2.35- Cambridge Fillies’ Handicap – Class 3 – 1m 4f

Star Rock – C/D winner when last seen in May this year, winning a class 5 maiden by 1/2 a length from God Given, who has won 3 of the 4 races contested since including a Fillies’ Class 1 Listed & a French Group 3 contest in Deauville. Makes handicap debut on return – 4/1

Charlie’s Selections

Before you all start complaining betref have got the time of my 3b race wrong it should be 4.55 not 4.25

Mont Kiara -Won here two starts back over 6f in a Class 3 handicap, was sent to Ascot and raced over an inadequate 5f and finished 4th. Remains on a winning mark and a return to 6f on a track it’s win on before ticks a lot of boxes for me here and another win looks likely.

Win Advised

.

Je Suis Charlie -Won here last time out by 5length over course and distance. If in same mood here could gain a second win for yard who boast a 50% strike rate at the track in last 5 years.

Win Advised

.

Magic Moments -Won here last time out in her first go at a sprint, has a good draw again and if using same tactics as last time could be hard to stop her front running mentality.

Win Advised

Saturday’s Football

Rich’s 4 Fold – Burnley, Man Utd, Preston & Wolves – All to win – 9/1

Burnley – Unbeaten in last 3 v Huddersfield

Man Utd – Unbeaten this season, scoring 12 goals in the process, Lukaku has 5, more than Southampton as a team!

Preston – Flying in Championship, with 15 points already, 2 wins & 1 draw from 3 home games this season, while Millwall are yet to win away

Wolves – Expensive squad who are unbeaten in Championship & Barnsley are yet to win away

.

Charlie’s Win & BTTS

Celtic – Have the best record in Scotland against Rangers who they face today. Celtic have beaten Rangers 5-1 on two separate occasions last year and look likely to carry that dominance into today’s game and look primed for the win although Rangers could snatch a goal. Todays play is Celtic win and BTTS at 2-1

.

Tottenham -Have been freely scoring recently but have defensive issues as well they beat Dortmund 3-1 and then beat Everton 3-0, they face West Ham today and I feel Tottenham win and BTTS is the way to go here at 11-5

.

RB Leipzig -Are another team who can score goals at will but leave themselves open at the back with their gung-ho approach. They have been unlucky last couple of matches drawing 1-1 and 2-2 with Monaco and Monchengladback. They face Eintracht Frankfurt who have only won twice in last 6 matches. The play here is RB Leipzig win and BTTS at 5-2

.I have played the Win and BTTS treble here and it pays 32.6-1  . I recommend a small stake on this bet, start off with a quid so it doesn’t interfere with your main bets.

While if you are looking for an Anytime Goal scorer bet then looking for teams top scorer is the best way to go: Eg – Kane(Spurs) Lukaku(Man Utd) Messi(Barca) etc

Yes this will be a separate P/L….. Thanks for asking!!!

Rich’s Final Word

With the AYR meeting abandoned due to a water logged track, I think the Course & BHA need to work together to find out why this has happened, especially with the drainage systems around nowadays. I digress……

Newbury has a nice card & boast’s a couple of maiden’s with Alfarqad(1.15) making his debut, the $1.3 million War Front colt holds a Dewhurst entry next month so connections are expecting a big run, while Emaraaty(1.45) finished 4th on debut after a really poor start to close to 3 & 3/4 lengths at the line also hold a plethora of Group race entries next month for the Dubawi Colt.

Newmarket has a nice card with Dubara(5.30) looking to add another win to the collection after a neck victory last time over re opposing Pamora, raised 5 for the win & finally Wolverhampton hold an evening meeting, with Newstead Abbey aiming for 3 C/D wins after a nose defeat here prior to winning by the same margin at Chelmsford last time out

Smugglers Creek -Was 7th on debut at the Curragh when not hard pressed by jock, steps up in trip to 1m for all-weather debut by track leading trainer M Halford the booking of Pat Smullen is a sign that a big run is expected here and I’m on for the win.

.

Mohayyen -Has ran here recently since changing yards finishing 5th after being off track for  733 days, then was sent to Bellewston in a 7f handicap and won well has been raised 6lb for that win and has a good draw to be involved here, again I’m on for the win.

Win Advised

.

Rinaria -Was 2nd at Bath in a Class 5 handicap on the 23rd August over 1m. Was then sent to Beverley 4 days later to contest a Class 4 handicap over 1m and won, has been raised 5lb for that and is down in grade for today’s race and could still be progressive enough to take this race.

.

Well that’s my thoughts on Friday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

.

Rich’s Final Word

The Jockey’s who appealed their 10 day bans for not stopping during a fatal race, got their 10 day bans reduced to 2, which is about right. We are shocked by the opening race at Newton Abbott today, 2 horse race! Come on…. what no Chasers in the area??? & What about Fred?? Bookies eh! Enough about that, let’s talk about this …

I did find a couple more at Newbury today, with White Mocha(3.30) looking to put the head defeat last time out to bed & get back to winning ways, while another Frankel Filly makes a debut(4.35) Veracious, who is half sister to Mutakayyef, Intrinsic & Intimation.

& you know the winter’s well on the way when Dundalk is having a Friday night card, Joseph O’Brien recently purchased Ger Lyons Shalailah(7.30) who has been runner up the last two runs to Happily, latterly in a Group 3 contest.

Well that’s all folks….. Remember if you bet, bet what you can afford to lose.. If not just watch – All the best – Charlie & Rich

Equitation -won as expected advised at 15-8 returned at 3-1

Nicholas Chauvin – was 4th and was another loss.

. Well that’s another day with only one winner from the 3 I put up, it’s starting to annoy me now.

Charlie’s Selections

Nothing from me today I did have 3 selections for Ayr but that meeting has been scratched, wasted time I will never get back unfortunately.

Rich’s Final Word

Nobel Masterpiece is looking for a 2nd C/D win at Yarmouth(5.50) after a 1/2 length 2nd under a penalty at Kempton(AW) last time, while Election Day goes to Pontefract(2.50) hoping to go one place better than the runner up spot last time at Beverley, running off the same mark.

Over at Ballinrobe in Ireland, Court Artist(3.15)  returns to a winning distance on her 2nd hurdle start, won at 2m 4f in a NH flat race prior to hurdle debut over 2m, some 10 lengths back in 6th & Jimmy Two Shoes(4.55)  looks to add to his Chase tally after a 2m 3f win at Downpatrick 2 weeks ago!
