Charlie’s Selections

Hereford

3.00 Colin’s Brother 100-30 Win

Is 2 wins from 2 races since returning to chases this season winning at Bangor over 2m 1f on soft ground and then at Ludlow over 2m on good to soft ground drops in class here and is 7lbs higher although has won over hurdles at a distance of 2m 3f on heavy ground so ticks all the right boxes.

Win Advised

3.30  Mountainous 8-1 Eachway

Last two wins have come in the Welsh National off 1lb lower has conditions to suit and jock claims 7lbs that should help horses chances and at 8-1 should at least get a place if showing anything near what it’s capable of .

Eachway Advised

4.30 Runasimi River 5-1 Win

Unraced but well bred 4 yr old trained by  Neil Mulholland is closely related to winners over 2m 4f to 3m over hurdles and fences so if keeping the trend should be thereabouts but definitely one for the notebook regardless the results on debut.

Win Advised

.

Well there you have our selections and reasoning for Wednesday’s Winners and there is a lot to mull over. The People’s Nap Vote result will be updated when voting closes. In the meantime please remember to keep stakes small and hopefully end the day with some winners.

Today’s People’s Nap Is Playful Dude Good Luck To All Who Voted.

Charlie’s Selections

Plumpton 3.50

.Royal Salute 2-1

2 wins and 2 places from last 4 runs including latest win over course and distance on similar ground wearing 1st time blinkers has been raised 4lbs for that win but Harry Cobden’s 3lb claim wipes most of that away and can go in again here.

Win Advised

.

Southwell 4.15

.Playful Dude 9-4

Has placed 2nd 4 times and Won 1 from last 5 races including when going close here last week is quickly put back out before handicapper can reassess that and runs off same mark as last time and could take this race as compensation.

Win Advised

.

Ayr 4.35

.Better Getalong 11-4

Was off the track for nearly a year after promising debut in 2015 when narrowly beating Sam’s Adventure over course and distance  on heavy going 6 weeks ago has a penalty for that but both were well clear of third and further progress looks likely.

Win Advised

.Maestro Royal – was runner up here in December but won next time out at Sandown beating Robinshill they were well clear of 3rd and that form puts him firmly in the frame here and can get involved in a large field handicap.
