That is all today folks as Charlie is having a breather, so you will just have to put up with me….. Just one final thought thou, if you are thinking about betting on the 1,000/1 shot in the derby Diore Lia, yes it may place, but most would say unlikely & possibly shouldn’t be running, so instead of giving money to the bookie’s in the hope that a miracle could happen, why not donate it to charity….. Just a thought!

There were a couple of bright spot’s on Saturday, with the other 2 PN Choices Winning, having the 1st 2 home in the Irish 2,000 Guineas & a Maiden debut winner…. But that was yesterday, as there is no Flat racing in the UK, it’s The Curragh & Chantilly in France…. so let’s see what I have noted for today…..

.

Curragh –

3.25 – Irish 1,000 Guineas – Group 1 Class 1 – 3YO Only – 1m

Winter – Beaten by a head on debut for Aiden O’Brien after leaving David Wachman by Hydrangea over 7f in the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown. .

4.00 – Fillies’ Handicap – 3YO Only – 1m

Bumbasina – 7th on debut over 7f back last August, made a winning return when stepped up to 1m at Gowran by beating Traety of Venice by 1/2 a length & followed that up with a 3/4’s of a length victory in a Fillies’ race in Killarney when beating Angel Island, again over 1mon yielding conditions. Billy Lee is 2 wins from 3 rides.

& finally, like yesterday I finish with a debut…..

5.00 -Maiden- 1m 2f

Europium – Frankel Filly, out of Revered(Oasis Dream). Half sister to Commemorative & Shoreditch, holds an Ascot entry next month.

Well there you have it another packed blog post with plenty to keep you busy until races start. The People’s Nap vote result will be updated when voting closes. In the meantime please remember to keep stakes small and hopefully end the day with a few winners.
