Stable boy scoops £1m from a £5 accumulator
Today I wanted to share a theory that sometimes a trainer knows in advance if his horse will win.
It begins with Nicky HENDERSON having an informal chat with his stable lad in mid December 2012 about his stables chances at the Cheltenham festival several months away.Nicky went on to say that 5 of his horses had excellent chances at the festival and they were
Sprinter Scare in the Arkle on the Tuesday odds taken 7-1
Simonsig in the Neptune Novice Hurdle on the Wednesday odds taken 20-1
Bob’s Worth in the R.S.A chase on the Wednesday odds taken 6-1
Finnians Rainbow in the Queen Mother on the Wednesday odds taken 12-1
Riverside Theatre in the Ryan Air Chase on the Thursday odds taken 16-1
Now after hearing Nicky’s words on the horses chances the lad placed a £5 win acca on them all with Ladbrokes and at the time the estimated odds would have been close to 250,000-1 his payout of £1m is the maximum payout available. And the one thing that cements my theory is that Simonsig had initially been targeted at another race at Cheltenham as had entries in several races but was eventually left in the Neptune Novice Hurdle now could have been a fluke but only Nicky HENDERSON and his stable boy know the answer to that and I don’t think they would admit to that. But to know almost 16 weeks in advance what horses would win just shows how well Henderson knows his gameplan inside out. Well that’s my theory I hope you find it an interesting read you can check google for further information on Nicky HENDERSON any comments are welcome thanks again from Simon and myself for your support and reading our blog and will be back again tomorrow with our tips.
