Last time we covered the rivalry between Galileo and Sea The Stars and mentioned that Frankel would be added to the Sire list so let’s see where they currently stand.
Now as last time Galileo sits proudly at the top of the Table on Prize Money won but as last time that’s because Galileo has more offspring so puts him in a more commanding position. We will have an individual look into each Sire’s progeny success and will start with Galileo.
Galileo
.In the table above you can see all the information you will need for Galileo’s offspring for 2017 in first two lines on table. – In the Worldwide Group 1 and Euro Stakes boast a 23% win rate in each. The next section contains data going back to 2000 and sees the Worldwide Group 1 have a 23% strike rate and the Euro Stakes a 38% strike rate.
The final section of table shows Wins and places for each type of race along with going/distance and any prize money won from 1988 until 2017.
We will take a look at win % for Flat, Turf etc below.

We now move onto Sea The Stars

.The above table shows all the relevant information needed for Sea The Stars offspring. Sea The Stars has a 33% strike rate in Worldwide Group 1 and a 6% strike rate for Euro Stakes in 2017 .
The next section on table shows data from 2000 to 2017 . Worldwide Group 1 races shows an 18% strike rate and Euro Stakes shows a 31% strike rate.
.The final section shows data going back from 1988 – 2017 we will look at strike rate for flat etc below.
Flat – 65%

All Weather – 53%
Jumps – 48%
First Crop – 23%
2yr Olds – 24%
Again pretty impressive figures but data does go back a fair bit.

We now look at the New kid on the block Frankel.
Frankel
The above table shows all the relevant information needed for Frankel offspring. Although it states no Worldwide Group 1 wins, this is incorrect as there was a Group 1 win in the Japanese Oaks for Frankel. Euro Stakes shows a 13% strike rate for 2017
The next section shows data going back to start of Stud career to 2017 and Worldwide Group 1 shows a 9% strike rate and Euro Stakes shows a 35% strike rate.
The final section shows strike rate for each type of race Flat, Turf etc and we will have a closer look at that below.

Again really impressive figures especially the First Crop strike rate of 50% and only 2% off that with his 2yr olds.Who will have the best strike rate out of the 3 at the end of the year ???
