Cheers Rich, let’s get straight down to Monday’s Results :

Off The Charts -Fell and was a loss.

The Rory Story -Finished last and was another loss.

Edge -Finished 7th and is yet another loss.

Disappointing day with all 3 selections losing yesterday. I had a look at Tuesday’s cards and nothing stood out so it’s just Rich today. I will hand you back over to Rich for the Final Word.

Final Word

I know what some folk are thinking….. Rich has put up an ODDS ON pick…. Well I know plenty who will love it IF it get’s beat, but hey I am not really bothered about them… Here are the best of the rest on a rough Tuesday –

Over at Chepstow, I found what I think is a bit of a diamond in the rough, General Consensus(1.15) 3rd on NH Flat race debut for new yard, over 2m 2f at Punchestown by 6 & 3/4 lengths, but in 4th that day was Moyross, who has since taken the eye winning 2 hurdle races in Ireland since & at double figure odds, could out run those odds on hurdle debut. While Smart Boy(3.55) won at Plumpton on debut for new trainer Jack Barber, a week ago, by 30 lengths & is turned out under a penalty.

AND Finally, Nicky Henderson runs War Creation(3.05 Bangor) who returns for the season having been seen back in April finishing 4th at Perth(2m) in a class 4 handicap hurdle, with winner Night Owl winning since, 2nd has won a couple & 3rd has also won.

That’s all for today, nothing really took my eye at Wolverhampton.

Thanks for your support this month. 3 Furlongs Out Magazine will be out on Wednesday & keep them peeled for our Breeders Cup – Unravelled!

All the Best – Charlie & Rich

Final Word

You gotta love some folk, they like a drink then decide to tweet an absolute load of garbage, just because they think they can wind you up… Strange thing is…. WE used to be friends, messaged frequently until a few too many digs & I thought, I don’t need guy’s like this anymore… So I blocked him & his publication…. & good luck to them, as I once heard…. If you Tweet Shit ya get Banged!

I have got it off my chest now, let’s look at what else was left from the PN choices –

Quick Pick(Ayr 2.05) finished 4 length runner up on NH Flat 2m race debut, 3rd has since won on hurdle debut, returns after189 days away & makes hurdle debut…. While Halcyon Days(3.50) also returns to the track after being last seen winning for the 6th time in 10 runs in April at Carlisle…. Willie Mullins unleashes another Hurdle prospect at Galway(1.10) when Anisi Va La Vie makes hurdle debut, after winning a Listed NH Flat race(2m).

& Finally…. Redcar holds a flat card…. Wrenthorpe(12.00) has been runner up on both starts, last time out over C/D & was only beaten by a head 10 days ago & Sea Youmzain(1.05) was also runner up on debut at Leicester over 1m, by 1 & 3/4 lengths, up an extra furlong & will have learned from first run.

That’s all for today folks

Remember only bet what you can afford, if not just watch

Saturday…. Just Saturday!

screenshot_20161208-231657_1

Friday was never going to get near Thursday, with the winner’s that freely flowed, but again, we did ok. The PN being placed 2nd again, making it 3 runner up spots & 2 wins from 5 Naps this week, is a touch unlucky… But Final Word carried on banging in the winners…. Let’s see what we have in store for today!

Peoples Nap Choices

Newbury – Soft

2.50 – Horris Hill Stakes – Group 3 Class 1 – 2YO Only – 7f

I will hand you over to Charlie for his thought’s on today’s racing & run through yesterday’s results. I will see you for a Ram Jammed Final Word –

Cheers Rich, let’s kick things off with Friday’s Results :

Presenting Julio – Finished 5th and was a loss.

Cool Macavity – Was disputing 3rd and travelling well when falling 2 from home and is a loss.

Passing Star – finished 7th and was yet another loss.

Disappointing day with all 3 selections losing, hopefully get a return from Saturday’s selections listed below.

.

aviary-image-1509183242714

Cobra De Mai – Has been a terrific horse for the Skelton Yard winning 4 of his last 5 starts. Latest of those victories coming at Sedgefield when beating Jack’s Last Hope by 3/4 length. Makes first visit to Cheltenham but arrives in good shape and hopefully will relish the course if handling the test of stamina.

Win Advised

.

Thomas Campbell -Makes seasonal debut for Nicky Henderson and although hasn’t won since November 2016. Has been racing in hot handicaps and arrives here in good shape and the son of Yeats should be in the mix here.

Win Advised

.

Cracking Destiny -Won an Irish Point race in March when 3 length clear when nearest rival fell. Was purchased for £100,000 four days later. Now with Nicky Henderson and should give a good account on UK debut.

That’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will hand you back over to Rich for the Final Word.

.

Final Word

Another day, some more winner’s in this section of the blog page….. As much as I am disappointed with the PN not winning, if the winner’s are still flowing in here it means I am still doing something right, just picking the wrong 3 for the PN Choices! So let’s see what we have for today…..

I think were start at Doncaster, where they kick the day off at 1.45 & Mutaaqeb takes a big step up in class  from winning a class 4 novice stakes race by a neck on debut to contest in a 6f Listed race. Al Hajar(2.20) who was runner up on debut to Group 3 winner Anna Nerium at Newmarket on Good to soft ground, before running home 4th on slightly firmer ground over the same C/D, before landing a class 4 Redcar maiden by 7 lengths & now sports 1st time cheek pieces, while stepping up in class.

Newbury is also holding a flat meeting, so let’s kick off with a favourite of mine in the 1.40 Nursery, with Prestbury Park, who won two on the bounce prior to a small break before finishing 2 & 3/4 lengths 3rd on return in a class 2 & now drops to class 3, having won a Chester 6f Class 2 before the break.  Mountain Bell(2.15) has a year long absence to over come, having not been seen since finishing runner up in the same race last season, but is known to go well fresh, having won on both seasonal returns!

That is it from the flat from me, now we go over to the National Hunt meetings & will start with the only one I liked at Kelso(2.25) Give Me A Copper, who will be a very short priced favourite for Paul Nicholls, but having won a class hurdle at Ayr before the end of last season, being schooled very well & can make the chase debut a winning one. And so we end Final Word at Cheltenham, with Coologue(2.00) looking to retain the race won last season from the same mark 140, again teaming up with Champion Jockey Richard Johnson, with whom they are 2 wins from 3 rides together & has won on returns from breaks over 190 days the last twice. Tempestateflorensco(3.45) won 3 from 4 runs from April to July including a Uttoxeter Listed chase. Ran only 18 days ago at Ludlow, winning a class 4 handicap hurdle, to make it 2 wins from 3 hurdle race & is able to run off the same mark of 137.

As I said another Ram Jammed Final Word….

Remember to ONLY bet what you can afford, if not just watch.

All the best – Charlie & Rich

PN fails but Final Word shines!

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

As I mentioned on yesterday’s blog, I thought there were winners there, little did I expect it to all be in Final Word… I fully expected at least 2 of the PN Choices to win, how wrong was I??!!!Very…. 6 from the 7 noted in Final Word won, with 1 placing! I am not down beat, as the PN is showing a very tidy profit this month, with a few days to go… & let see what today’s choices are…..

Peoples Nap Choices

Cheltenham – Good

2.35 – Novice Chase – Class 2 – 1m 8f

Sceau Royal – Won a class 2 hurdle over C/D last term before landing a Grade 2 hurdle at Wincanton. Made chase debut at Warwick earlier this month, in a class 4 novice chase, winning by 4 & 1/2 lengths over 2m, 2nd chase start & up in class – 6/4

.

Dundalk(AW) – Standard

6.00 – Nursery Handicap – 2YO Only – 5f

Boragh Steps – 2nd to Declaration of Peace over C/D earlier this month by 1 & 1/2 lengths – 4/1

.

7.30 – Fillies’ Class 1 Listed Stakes – 1m

Goldrush – 3 length winner on debut over 1m at Navan, won here last time over 1m 2f in a class 1 Listed contest by 3/4’s of a length, drops back to 1m – 5/2

.

PN Result(Thursday) – Banditry – 2nd……

Charlie is back now, after counting all his pennies & delivering a fantastic profit, he will now take you through his selections for Friday & I will see you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, let’s crack on with Friday’s Selections :

aviary-image-1509085226783

Presenting Julio – Has won 4 times from last 6 races, latest of these at Killarney over 2m 4f in a Handicap Chase. Goes up in distance here and still looks unexposed in this company.

Win Advised

.

Cool Macavity – Won a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle over 1m 7f at Towcester last time out. Has a 6lb weight increase to overcome goes up in trip here and another bold display can’t be ruled out.

Win Advised

.

Passing Star – Had won 4 times previously on the all weather, although was a fair 2nd last time out at Lingfield. A chance is taken that it will be a winning day for Passing Star having gone close last time out.

.

Win Advised

.Well that’s my thoughts on Friday’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I had intended to do a Cheltenham preview, but due to declarations yesterday, made my work obsolete as most of the horse’s I’d covered were withdrawn. It’s a bit frustrating but that’s what we have to deal with unfortunately. I will hand you back over to Rich for the Final word.

Final Word – in this section yesterday Rich highlighted several winners and a screenshot of what was written is located below.

IMG_20171026_231215

So here we go again….. These are what was left after the PN was chosen…..

Doncaster host their final flat meeting of the year, with the Racing Post trophy on Saturday…. Flying Pursuit(3.35) was 3rd in a class 2 last time out by 2 lengths after winning  a Ripon Class 2 by 1/2 length & runs off the same mark, while Golden Birthday(4.10) could make it 3 wins from 3 flat starts after starting the season winning 2 hurdle contest’s up to 2m 5f & was rated 128, only rated 84 on the flat after a 3/4 length win last time.  Ajman King(4.45) improved from the runner up on return to win last time at Epsom by 2 lengths, front pair 5 lengths clear of 3rd, who has since won….

WE now head to Newbury, again on the flat. Proschema(1.10) who was runner up to Group 3 winner Ghaiyyath on debut looks to go one better today, especially as 3rd has also since won. Lime & Lemon(2.50) was beaten a nose on return from 104 days away & runs for the 6th time from this mark of 76.

Fagan(3.45Cheltenham) Was 2nd on chase debut at Perth, beaten 1 length by Ballyandy, 15 lengths ahead of Chitu(Who races at 2.35) & has since won…..

& Finally red hot fav Deyaarna(7.45 Wolves) will be looking to add another win after a convincing 2 & 1/4 length victory at Chelmsford last time out….

Will today be like yesterday??? Thanks for popping by folks….

Remember to only bet what you can afford, if not just watch

All the Best – Charlie & Rich

No Joy…… Heads up…… Another day

Screenshot_2017-05-08-23-15-39_1

Yesterday did not go the way we thought it would, the PN finishing 2nd, early on in the day we knew! But were not the kind of guy’s who throw are toys out the pram, we just get our head down & work that wee bit harder to find winners for the next day & I think we have a few in here for today! So let’s get down to work…..

Peoples Nap Choices

Ludlow – Good

4.35 – Handicap Hurdle – Class 4 – 1m 7f 169y

.

PN Result(Wednesday) – Captain Mowbray – 2nd…… NO 3 in a row …. We go again

A complete wipeout yesterday with all 3 selections being well beaten. I have decided to take the day off from tipping to update my profit loss figures and that will be posted later on tonight. I will hand you back over to Rich for the Final word.

Final Word

Yesterday was a poor show all round, but we move on & here are the rest of what I found….

Carlisle is Heavy ground, so I looked for heavy ground winners & Found two ….

3.20 Jonniesofa, has won both runs on heavy ground & is the 2016 winner of Haydock’s Prestige Hurdle(2m 6f) & was last seen finishing down the field at Cheltenham in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett, makes season return & chase debut, while Barrys Jack(3.55) is a C/D winner from last time out in a conditional handicap hurdle under Kaine Wood, today’s jockey(taking off 5), who also won a class 4 handicap chase at Perth on heavy ground & is able to run off same mark, due to go 8 next time out.

Fly Home Harry(Ludlow 2.30) returned a winner on season return, is rated just 1 higher & is up in class. Over in Ireland at Thurles – Close Shave(2.55) looks to go one better than a runner up spot last time out & now stepping up in trip has a chance of landing the spoils in this Beginners Chase, while Glens Harmony(3.25) is a Willie Mullins inmate, who is odds on to win on Hurdle debut after running well in NH flat races including a Runner up spot in a Class 1 Listed event 2m event at Gowran.

WE head back to the UK for the AW meeting at Chelmsford, where the guy, who according to the RP, doesn’t do enough for racing(Except win Group races around the world) is on Diagnostic(7.15) a C/D winner by 2 & 1/4 lengths in a class 5 maiden after a head runner up spot on debut at Chepstow & makes handicap debut  & Marine One(8.45) can take the finale, after finishing 5th & 4th on opening turf runs, has improved since switch to AW, finishing 3rd by 1 & 3/4 lengths & 2nd last time out over 1m 4f by 1/2 a length at Newcastle(AW) , returns from a 118 day break , 5 4 3 2?????

That is everything today folks, you have it all………

Remember to only bet what you can afford, if not just watch

All the Best- Charlie & Rich

aviary-image-1508883952283

Noble Conquest -Placed 3rd at Windsor in a Class 5 maiden over 1m , Then was sent to Chelmsford to contest a Class 4 maiden again over 1m and was 5th, latest 2nd at Thirsk in a Class 4 maiden over 7f looks the best bit of form considering front 2 were 9 length clear of the rest of the field, has since been gelded and could get off the mark here in this similar race.

Win Advised

.

Final Word

Today we sent over TWO Interviews for the forth coming 3 Furlongs Out Magazine & as mentioned in a few post’s, we still have a fair bit of unreleased material in our Draft folder, still to publish… So watch out for Exclusive material via @arseonlinetips on Twitter to see when they drop!

Anyway back to the racing, Cracksman’s win in the Champions Stakes on Saturday, has earned him the highest rating of any horse in Europe this season…… Higher than Enable, who won the Arc, against a field of Group winners & claimed a 6th Group win of the season, while Cracksman’s victory was his first! Crazy I say!

While I am talking about Frankel(Obviously via Cracksman!) Elwazir runs in the 2.55 at Newmarket today(Yes a Frankel offspring) having been runner up on debut over C/D, there however is a big danger, which comes in the form of a Sea the Stars offspring, Knight to Behold, who was only beaten by a nose on debut! Earlier in the card, Left Alone(1.45) finished a 1 length 3rd on debut on the AW at Kempton, behind Tivoli & will be looking to improve on turf debut.

I only have ONE more for you, over the sticks at Worcester(2.45) where Rolling Dylan, makes his Chase debut, in the hand’s of Champion Jockey Richard Johnson & will be looking to make amends for the head defeat on final hurdles start at Hereford back in March.

Actually, while we are talking about NH racing, it was a nice introduction for Yanworth at Exeter on chase debut, I am  sure Alan King will be relieved with a clear round as much as the 2 length win. He is bound to improve for experience & WE are looking forward to seeing him run this season.

That is your lot for today folks, as WE have mentioned, keep your eyes peeled for the odd exclusive article  & Remember to only bet what you can afford, if not just WATCH.

All the best – Charlie & Rich

Final Word

Was a strange day here at Arseonline towers, this section seems to be suffering now, but with the PN winning I can rest easy …. There are some fantastic horse’s making their debut tomorrow at Yarmouth & Kempton(AW) in the evening…

So were start at Yarmouth & Finish at Kempton…..

Qazyna(1.30) is a Frankel filly, who is a half sister to Au Revoir

There are a couple of interest in in the 2.00 –

I also like – Hourglass – Galileo Filly, who is owned by Mr M Tabor, Mr D Smith & Mrs J Magner. Closely related to Geoffery Chaucer & Shamarbelle, trained by Marco Botti

Talaaqy(2.30) –  Dansili filly, half sister to Ertijaal

Sunday Service was a bit of a damp squid, with the PN finishing 2nd, for the second day in a row….. I hope that Seconditus hasn’t infected me! I guess this week we will find out!

Peoples Nap Choices

Pontefract – Soft

3.20 – Handicap – Class 4 – 1m 2f 5y

Misscarlett – Debut 3rd at Thirsk in a 1m 4f behind Nathalie by 2 & 1/4 lengths. Ran out an easy 4 & 1/2 length winner in a class 5 maiden over C/D last month from Frankster, who has since won a class 5 maiden, up in class on handicap debut – 6/1

.

Plumpton – Good to Soft

4.00 – Handicap Chase – Class 3 – 2m 3f 164y

Accord – Made chase debut on season return at Fontwell in a class 4 novice chase 2 weeks ago, winning by 4 lengths from Free Stone Hill – 5/1

.

4.10 – Handicap – Class 5 – 1m 31y

Love & Be Loved – 3 wins & 1 place from 6 turf runs this term, winning the last two. Including a Salisbury class 6 1m handicap by 1 length & last time out in a Leicester 1m class 4 handicap by 1 & 3/4 lengths from Mama Africa, who won at Southwell yesterday. Raised 6 for the win – 4/1

.

PN Result(Sunday) – Cannonball – 2nd….. That’s two days in a row….. Third time lucky??!!

I will pass you over to Charlie for his thought’s on todays racing & catch up with you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, there was no selections from me on Sunday so will just crack on with Monday’s selections listed below :

aviary-image-1508709069443

Harlequin Striker -Won last time out at Nottingham over 1m in a class 5 handicap, wearing first time cheekpieces, has been raised 5lb for that win but still remains on a workable mark and has won here in the past and 5-1 seems a fair price.

Win Advised

.

Unwritten -Made debut in a Class 5 race at Hamilton over 1m and finished 4th, was then sent to Pontefract to contest a class 4 Auction over 1m and won by 9 length. Moves up in class and distance although carries a risk, a repeat can’t be ruled out here if in same frame of mind and at a nice working man’s price of  12-1 I have gone for the win but wouldn’t put anyone off from having an eachway play either.

Win Advised

.

St Andrews -Was 2nd in a Class 6 Handicap at Lingfield over 1m 7f back in September. Was then sent to Kempton to contest another Class 6 Handicap over 1m 7f in October and won. Next race was at Worcester in a Class 4 Handicap Hurdle over 2m 4f. Despite being up in class and trip travelled really well but was 3rd due to a bit of interference late on in race. If reproducing that here could be the one to be on and 3-1 is a relatively decent price.

Win Advised

.Well that’s my thoughts on Monday’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for the Final Word.

Final Word

I hope some of you got to read my Flat Performance of 2017 & that you found it, maybe a touch interesting??? We will continue to post articles like this from time to time, so please keep your eye’s peeled, as they could drop at any time…. We are both hard at work, looking for new articles to write & also finalising our articles for the up coming 3 Furlongs Out Magazine, which is due in November…. Enough of that now… What did I have left from the PN Choices?? Let’s see!

Fast And Hot(Windsor 2.10) Oi…. Noooooo, you naughty people! Anyway, was a fine runner up last time out, when touched off by a head(stop it!) at Nottingham, with 4th winning next time out, the 2 times C/D looks likely to run a big race, while over the Sticks at Plumpton, Beneficial Joe(4.30) is looking to add to his 2m 7f win at Uttoxeter, in a class 3, 3m hurdle, form has been boosted by the runner up winning next time out!

& Finally….. The Queen has a runner at Pontefract in a 2 year Old, Class 1 Listed race at 3.50, Learn By Heart, has been running in this class since winning over 7f at Doncaster 3 runs back & was 2nd at Haydock to Chilian, with 3rd that day, Dee Ex Bee, has since won an Epsom class 2 & was runner up to Kew Gardens in the Zetland Stakes… I think we may have a site H2H on this too(Opps!)

That is all from us today…. Remember to only bet what you can afford, if not just watch.

All the Best – Charlie & Rich

Flat Performance of 2017

aviary-image-1504462617761

The general consensus from talking to people on twitter, is that Enables Arc win was the performance of the season, many will not disagree, neither will I. Having already written my race of the season, which was Enables 5 & 1/2 length romp in the Irish Oaks before the Arc win, I thought I would give you my top 5 Performances of the 2017 flat season….. Some may not be everyone’s cup of tea, others will say… Yep your right there!

I will start by saying this, I think the unlucky horse of the year has to be Ulysses, the reason? Having won 3 times – Juddmonte International at York, Coral Eclipse at Sandown & Gordon Richards, also at Sandown, to come across Enable & finish runner up twice is a touch unlucky, but it just goes to show what a horse Enable is……

Winter - Coronation Stakes Winner
Winter – making her move en-route to winning The Coronation Stakes at Ascot

Winter – Duel 1000 guineas winner, who for me best performance was winning the Coronation Stakes by 2 & 1/4 lengths from stable companion Roly Poly, was just superb. Having won both the English & Irish 1000 guineas, with the pressure on & everybody waiting & wondering if she could do it again, the grey daughter of Galileo, showed a fine turn of foot to win with ease.

Harry Angel - Winning the Darley July Cup at Newmarket
Harry Angel – wins the Darley July Cup at Newmarket

Harry Angel – July Cup Stakes at Newmarket, was in my opinion his highlight of the season, with beating a field that included Brando, Limato, Caravaggio & The Tin Man by 1 & 1/4 lengths was a real treat. Now some may say his win at Haydock, on really heavy ground, by 4 lengths was the best…. But did we see the best of the rest of the field that day? Of that I am not convinced, so the July Cup victory ahead of Limato is the best of his 3 wins for me.

Battash winning the Prix De Abbaye
Battash – At full stretch En-route to Winning The Prix De Abbaye

Battaash – Having already won the Scurry Stakes & Sprint Stakes at Sandown, Goodwoods King George, before a poor run by his high standards in York’s Nunthorpe, when finishing 5 & 1/4 lengths behind winner Marsha. The Dark Angel gelding turned that form on it’s head, with a scintillating turn of foot to finish 4 lengths ahead of Marsha & put to bed any thoughts that he was a spent force.

Cracksman - Winning The Prix Niel
Cracksman – Winning The Prix Niel

Cracksman – The son of Frankel, yes the legend that is Frankel….. Gave him his first UK Group 1 win with a fine performance at Ascot  in the Champions Stakes, to beat Poet’s Word by 7 lengths, on what most would call Soft to heavy ground, but in my view, had this been run on good ground, the outcome would have been the same. He had been building towards that run all season & by missing the Arc & potential clash with Stable companion Enable, instead won the Niel Group 2 stakes at Chantilly as preparation for the Champion Stakes & a fine 3 & 1/2 length victory….

Enable - Winning the Prix De L'Arc de Triomphe
Enable – In Full Flight En-route to winning the Arc

Enable – What can I say that hasn’t already been said before about this daughter of Nathanial? Quite simply she is the best…. winning 6 Group 1 races, including the English & Irish Oaks, both by some 5 lengths, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes by 4 & 1/2 lengths, not to mention the Yorkshire Oaks…. But to defeat the Arc de Triomphe field, which included Winter, Order of St George & Ulysses by 2 & 1/2 lengths was special….. The fact that connections are keeping her running next season is fantastic news for all racing fans.

Sunday Service

How good was Saturday? Possibly a super Saturday…. From Order of St George to Cracksman to Hydrangea to Librisa Breeze…. Fantastic & while not to forget Persuasive, all worthy winner’s on Champion’s Day. Not to be out shone, The New One returned, again a winner on season return at Ffos Las winning the Welsh Champion Hurdle. With a fine display out battling Clyne, who i’m pretty sure will have another fine season.

So let’s get down to business…. Here are the PN Choices –

Peoples Nap Choices

Kempton – Good

2.40 – Novice Handicap Chase – Class 4 – 2m 2f

Bach De Clermont – PTP winner before joining Evan Williams last year. Winner of a class 5 maiden hurdle, over 1m 7f by 11 lengths & finished runner up at Southwell in a 1m 7f to Banditry, 3rd place has since won , makes chase debut – 9/2

.

Leopardstown – Yielding

4.00 – Trigo Stakes – Class 1 Listed – 1m 2f

Cannonball – 1/2 length runner up last time out earlier this month to Detailed at Limerick, 3rd Red Stars has since won a Listed contest. Finished a 1 length 4th the race before here in a Group 3 contest over 1m 4f, drops back in trip – 7/4

.

Southwell(AW) – Standard

4.40 – Handicap – Class 4 – 5f

Piazon – Had 1 run this term, finishing a 4 & 3/4 length 5th in a Sandown 5f class 5 contest, but has 4 C/D wins & 2 places . Was a runner up in this class back in December beaten by a neck & last win here was in a seller back in December – 4/1

.

PN Result(Saturday) – Bateel – 2nd, which was no disgrace at all

I shall now pass you over to Charlie for his thoughts on today’s racing & run through Saturday’s results…. See ya for Final Word!

Cheers Rich, let’s kick things off with a recap on Saturday’s results :

Stradivarius -placed 3rd advised eachway at 8-1

The Tin Man -finished 5th and was a loss.

Desque De Lisle – Was declared a non runner stake returned.

Just a small eachway to cheer about as Stradivarius finished 3rd. With only 3 cards today nothing stands out so it’s a no bet day for me, good luck if your having a punt today. I will pass you over to Rich now for the Final Word.

Final Word

As I have mentioned at the start of this post, it was a fantastic day of racing & although results didn’t go our way, we are not to down hearted, always onwards & Upwards here.

It looks as though Aiden O’Brien will have another good one on his hands next season, with James Cook(Leopardstown 2.20) hoping to improve from his 4 length runner up on debut, as they all seem to do at Ballydoyle….

While last weeks runner up of the Grade 2 Novice Hurdle at Chepstow, Amour De Nuit(Kempton3.15) gets another outing, this time in a novice hurdle listed race over 2m & will be hoping to finish in the winner’s enclosure.

And the beach is back, with racing at Southwell(AW), when I look at Southwell’s cards, I tend to look for Course winners & Custard the Dragon(3.05) is just one of them, having won 5 times from 6 C/D runs. Two runs on turf, when finishing down the field to Shady McCoy(Yep won both races!) but was 2nd at Newcastle(AW) off this mark back in May & should be in the mix!

Just a couple more things before we finish… Firstly…. Thanks Charlie for his kind words yesterday, I am humbled by them & yes it has been tough, but we have had some fantastic days, with many more to come….

& Finally….. We are really pleased that Twitter has finally suspended the account of The Truth(Aka Tip Advisor), who in his infinite wisdom, decided to troll one to many tipsters & had his account suspended…. The Main account…. So now hopefully the rest will all be found & suspended…. Although I am sure a few more will rue their ugly heads… But for the time being…..

Remember, if you cannot afford to bet, just watch…. ATR, is quite good on a Sunday too!

All the Best & Thanks for your support – Charlie & Rich
