Simply Sunday….

Hello and welcome to Simple Sunday from arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing blog brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. Miles apart but united by the sport of Kings….

What a fantastic days racing from Newmarket, it’s a shame ITV decided to put it on ITV4 instead of swapping it with the X Factor, repeated from last weekend. It was a perfect chance for the free to air channel today to promote racing…. and ITV failed!

Three places from 3(bookies paying 4 places!) yesterday from Charlie, while Final Word managed an 11/2 winner & mentioning the first two home in the Middle Park Stakes(Put them in your trackers).

Standard blog again….. Charlie’s Selections while Rich as the Final Word….

Lang Toun Lady -Was 3rd at Ripon two starts back over 6f in a Class 6 sellers race wearing 1st time blinkers. Was then sent here in September dropping down in trip to 5f and winning with blinkers on again beating Primeiro Boy by 2 and 1/4 lengths. Although is now 7lb heavier the blinkers are retained again and still looked as though there was something left in the tank last time out, if in same mindset today should be in the mix at the business end of race.

Win Advised

.

Amanaat -Is an ex John Gosden horse who is now with Denis Hogan, has placed 2nd at the Curragh and Navan in last two starts in 5f handicaps. Latest of those 2nd places looks decent as was only 1 length behind Spoofing at Navan. Wears 1st time blinkers today and that may help with the slow break that it’s shown on last two runs. Also runs off the same mark as that run at Navan and has a 3lb swing with jock K J Leonard’s claim and a bold display can’t be ruled out.

Win Advised

.

Swanton Blue -Was 2nd at Chepstow over 6f in a Class 6 Apprentice seller on the 27th August beaten a nose by Assassinate. Was then sent to Goodwood on the 26th September to race in a Class 4 handicap over 6f finishing 4th behind Lady Dancealot, Iconic Knight and Handytalk with the first 4 home being separated by 2 heads and a neck, races off 1lb higher than last win mark when winning at Chepstow in June. Is partnered with jock Seamus Cronin who takes 7lb off and if repeating form shown in last two races should gain compensation here.

Win Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

Thanks Charlie. Close again yesterday & it will all come together soon enough…. It was nice to land a winner and have the first 2 home in the Middle Park Stakes. That was yesterday and time to move on to today…..

One from Epsom and the rest from Naas in Ireland….

Epsom … Good

3.05 Handicap Class 3 3YO Only 1m 113y…

Ganayem is a Frankel filly who was 15th of 23 when last seen at Ascot in the Sandringham Stakes(C2) having previously won both starts this season prior to Ascot. A winner of a C5 Nottingham 1m 75y novice stakes by 1 & 3/4 lengths and followed up that with a fillies’ novice stakes C4 win by 1 length. Given a break since June by trainer Owen Burrows, who will be hoping to continue the yards good form.

Naas…. Good

1.50 Maiden 2YO Only 7f…

Stella I’tailia is a Sea the Stars filly out of a Shamardal Dam called Ragsah. Trained by John Oxx… Makes race course debut.

2.55 Loughbrown Stakes Group 3 2m….

Twilight Payment has finished 3rd, 6th & 2nd behind Order of St George since 2017 and the 3rd,7th and 4th over 1m 6f behind Flag of Honour, sandwiched in there, he won a C1 Listed race in July this year by 3 & 1/2 lengths. OOSG & Flag of Honour are not in the field and the seasoned Group runner has the best chance to land a Group race….

The DANGER could come from Dermot Weld’s Galileo colt Falcon Eight, who is two from two having won a debut Class 1 Maiden(1m 4f) before taking a C1 Listed race at Killarney(1m 3f) by 5 & 1/2 lengths. Now steps up in trip…..

4.00 Renaissance Stakes Group 3 6f…..

Gordon Lord Byron is like a fine wine as the 10YO Byron gelding has finished runner up on his last 3 outings. Finishing a 1 & 1/4 length 2nd to Speak Colours in a Curragh Group3 6f contest in August. Followed that with a 1 & 1/4 length runner up to Expert Eye, over 7f at York in the City of York Group 3 and then last time out on September 8th, beaten by a short head from Battle of Jerico (6f) if running to that standard today, he will win!

That is everything for you today folks, thank you for popping by and we appreciate your support.

7PM Tonight we will publish our BIG INTERVIEW….. So keep em peeled!

All the Best – Charlie & Rich

Newmarket and the Rest…..

Newmarket

Welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing blog, brought to you by 2 racing enthusiast’s from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. United by their love of the sport of kings….

Well what happened yesterday?? Rich’s Final Word column had an absolute shocker and Charlie didn’t fare much better! We don’t look back here at HQ, we dust ourselves down and go again….

Standard blog, Charlie has his selection’s while Rich has the Final Word… So let’s see what we have for you today…..

Charlie –

2018-09-29-11-09-29

Red Centre -Makes debut here for the inform John Gosden yard and this Australia Colt has nice breeding being out of Australia and Magical Steps, main danger comes in the shape of Cap Francais a Frankel colt who’s raced twice finishing 2nd on debut at Newmarket over 7f before winning next time out at Salisbury over 1m. Cap Francais has a 6lb penalty to carry today and if that works against it could open the door for Red Centre to swoop late and take this race enroute to better things next season.

Win Advised

.

I’ll Have Another -Has been in fantastic form winning 3 times and placing 2nd twice from 5 starts. Was 2nd at Redcar over 6f  in a Class 5 Auction in May. Went one better in a Class 5 Maiden at Chelmsford over 7f in June. Two weeks later I’ll Have Another was sent to Doncaster and won again over 7f in another Class 5 race. Was then sent to Baden in Germany to contest a Group 3 over 7f and finished 2nd. Latest race at Cologne in September over 1m in a listed race saw I’ll Have Another win again beating Moonlight Man by 1/2 a length. This race is a bit harder and is carrying top weight for handicap debut but looks to be holding it’s form well and at 8-1 is worth an Eachway play.

Eachway Advised

.

Ripp Orf -Won here in July over 1m in a Class 3 handicap, before returning 8 days later and finishing 2nd over 1m in a Class 2 handicap. Was then sent to Ascot to contest another Class 2 handicap over 7f and finished 3rd. Returned to Newmarket for next race in another Class 2 handicap over 7f and finished 4th. Returned to Ascot in September to race in another Class 2 handicap over 7f and won beating Cape Byron by 1/2 a length. Has held its from well during a busy campaign and is another 4lb higher due to latest win at Ascot, needs to step up again but if showing up in same mood as last time will take a lot of beating.

Win Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

As mentioned above, we both had a shocker yesterday, so I hope that what I have for you today is a lot better…. Today’s Column is from Newmarket again, but I have gone to my trusty leger and the 4 that are noted, have been mentioned before in this part of the blog!

Away from Newmarket, one I mentioned on debut is having her second run…

Haydock…. Good to Soft

1.30 Fillies’ Novice Stakes Class 5 2YO Only 1m 37y….

Sparkle Roll was a 6 length 5th on debut over C/D on September 7th in a C5 novice stakes. The Kingman filly will have learned from that run and should progress today…

Now to Newmarket… Good to Firm

1.50 Royal Lodge Stakes Group 2 2YO Only 1m….

Beatboxer was a 2 length winner on debut in a Sandown C4 7f maiden on July 26th. I mentioned the Scat Daddy colt last time out on August 10th, when he landed a Haydock C4 novice stakes when stepping up to a mile, winning by 3/4’s of a length. He was due to face KADAR that day, but Kadar was a Non Runner and now the two Scat Daddy colts face today in this Group 2 contest….

2.25 Cheveley Park Stakes Fillies’ Group 1 2YO Only 6f….

Signora Cabello was flagged up on the blog at Royal Ascot after winning a Class 1 Listed contest at York in May. Won at Royal Ascot by a short head and followed up by winning the Robert Papin Group 2 in France to add to the Queen Mary victory. Finished runner up to Pretty Pollyanna in a 6f Deauville Group 1 on August 19th, when I mentioned both runners, along with Comedy. I am sticking with the first 2 and I think this will be between them…

3.00 Middle Park Stakes Group 1 2YO Only 6f…

Jash was an impressive winner on debut in a Newmarket C4 novice stakes on August 25th, where both 4th & 5th had since won. I mentioned him last time out on September 14th when running at Salisbury in a C4 6f novice stakes, winning by a jaw dropping 9 lengths and this race was already pencilled in. I see no reason to oppose him today and although Simon Crisford’s Kodiac Colt has less experience than some of his rivals, he can take this step up in class in his stride.

That said, the same lack of race experience befalls Ten Sovereigns, who like Jash is two from two but has landed a Group 3 last time out at the Curragh on September 1st, winning by 3/4’s of a length!

3.40 Cambridgeshire Handicap Class 2 1m 1f…..

Alfarris has been tipped by Charlie & mentioned in this column so I am sticking with William Haggis’ 4YO Shamardal gelding, who’s form this term has been 1/2/1/2. Beaten a neck in a Sandown 1m 2f C2 handicap on July 6th before winning over 1m 2f at Goodwood on July 31st by 1/2 a length. Runner up last time out at York, beaten by 2 & 1/2 lengths by Pivine in a C2 1m 2f handicap. Mark asks for a bit more but has the advantage that big fields are not a problem and has tidy form too…..

Finally Friday

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing blog brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isle. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. Miles apart but united by the sport of kings….

It was an unlucky day yesterday, considering the 2 winners the day before, with one unseating, another finishing outside the places and one finishing 2nd….. That is racing for you!

Charlie has his Friday selections while Rich will have the Final Word from Newmarket….

So let’s get down to business….

Charlie –

2018-09-27-23-13-58

Estihaadf -Was beaten a short head by woven on debut over 7f at york on the 9th September, should fair better here if repeating that performance and is taken to go in at the second time of asking with Oisin Murphy on board.

Win Advised

.

Markazi -Has won twice and placed twice from last 5 starts, most notably when winning at Chatillion in France over 1m beating Silk Of Rio by 7 and 1/2 lengths and also at Marseille Borely also over 1m when beating Rip by 2 and 1/2 lengths. Made UK debut over 1m at Haydock on 11th August and finished 4th. Should fair better today and is taken to open UK account in this weaker race.

Win Advised

.

Mauricio -Won at Uttoxeter over 2m in a Class 5 handicap hurdle on the 12th September beating Gold Class by 1 and 1/2 length. Was a close 3rd at same venue on the 23rd September when only 1 length and a nose behind winner Monday Club. Mauricio runs off the same mark as when 3rd last time out and with a similar display can gain compensation here.

Win Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

What did we find out yesterday…. Kick On is a very nice horse & was noted as a danger in the opener… Cardini couldn’t keep up the strong pace, while danger Prince Eji will be one to watch next season & Swwaah was a ready winner for in form Owen Burrows( Nothing to do with our exclusive interview!)

It’s a Newmarket Special today, where the going is Good……

2.25 Nayef Stakes Group 3 Fillies & Mares’ 1m 4f…..

Star Rock has been running well this year and not getting the breaks but now returns to the scene of her C/D maiden win last May and added a further C/D win this time last year, when landing a Class 3 novice stakes. Finishing 4th on season return in a French listed contest, she was runner up by 1 length to Pilaster in a1m 4f Group 2 at Goodwood with Mind up(2nd) and God Given(4th) having both won Group races since……

3.00 Rockfel Stakes Fillies Group 2 2YO Only 7f…..

Main Edition was beaten at the Curragh by 5 lengths when 5th to Scitter Scatter(A very good filly) last time out on September 16th in the Moyglare Stakes(G1) and the Solera Stakes(7f) winner is quickly back in action for Mark Johnston and now takes a drop in grade with 4 wins from 6 runs this season…..

DANGER – Yourtimeisnow for whom the penny dropped on her 3rd start at Newbury when landing a Class 4 fillies’ novice stakes by 2 & 1/4 lengths. She was stepped up to Group company and landed the Dick Poole Fillies’ 7f Group3 at Salisbury on September 6th by 1/2 a length, now up in grade and an extra furlong!

4.10 Maiden Class 4 2YO Only 7f……

Estihdaaf is an Arch Colt, who was runner up on race course debut in a York C3 7f novice stakes beaten by a nose on September 9th. Oisin Murphy is in the saddle for S. Bin Suroor and looks the one to beat but fellow Godolphin trainer Charlie Appleby saddles a Sea the Stars colt Velorum, who is a half brother to Cascella . His Dam Lilly Angel won the Chartwell Stakes and was a 2YO winner over 5 & 6f and makes race course debut……

4.45 Godolphin Stakes Class 1 Listed 1m 4f….

Raheem House has not won for 3 runs and was given a small break after finishing down the field in a Group 3. His last win was in October last year when landing the Noel Murless Stakes, C1 Listed at Ascot over 1m 6f. His 2 runs this term have been in Group 3 company against stronger horses, that have progressed to very good Group 1 & 2 horses, this is slightly easier now eased in grade…..

That is everything for you folks. Thanks for popping by and for your continued support.

Next weekend is Arc weekend at Paris Longchamp and we will have all you need to help you find the Arc winner with our Race Stats & History that we will publish in due course, once the field has reached final declarations…..

Standard blog, Charlie’s Selections with Rich having the Final Word…. So let’s get cracking….

Charlie –

2018-09-27-09-48-40

Bangkok -Was 2nd on debut here over 7f back in August, was then sent to Ascot in September again over 7f and finished 4th. Steps up in trip here to 1m and if getting a stronger pace should have more to offer here even though it pulled too much last time out at Ascot.

Win Advised

.

Ballyfinboy -Has been a bit difficult to gauge of late having not won since 2016 although did show some promise 3 starts back at Tramore when finishing 2nd over 2m 6f, if repeating that here that could be enough to land the spoils here in a similar race. Trainer J R Finn has a 29% strike rate here and jock D Mullins has a 25% strike rate in last 14 days.

Win Advised

.

Star Of The East -Has finished 2nd over 1m 4f  the last twice at Doncaster and Catterick. Runs off the same mark as those two 2nd places and another bold display is expected here if in same mood.

Win Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

Absoluto finished 4th on debut and could well be a notebook horse, I will certainly be keeping my eye open… On to today & it’s just Newmarket from me….

Newmarket…. Good….

1.50 Maiden Class 4 2YO Only 1m….

Star Safari is a Sea the Stars Colt, who’s Dam Intimhir was a French 1m 2f winner and she was a half sister to 1m 2f winner Sortilege and trainer Charlie Appleby has a 23% SR with his 2YO’s in 2018… Danger could come from Kick On, who was runner up on debut over 7f by 1 length at this course on August 10th in a C4 maiden….

3.35 Sommerville Stakes Group 3 2YO Only 7f……

Cardini took 6 runs to break the maiden tag finally winning at the Curragh on August 31st by 1/2 a length. Finished 4 & 1/2 lengths behind winner Too Darn Hot in the Champagne Stakes, Group 2 7f at Doncaster on September 15th, with Bye Bye Hong Kong back in 5th…

Danger will come from 2.6 million Guineas yearling purchase Prince Elji, sired by Dubawi and out of Pivitol mare Izzi Top and also half brother to Dreamfield. A winner on debut over 7f at Ascot in a C3 7f maiden by 1/2 a length on September 7th…..

5.20 Handicap Class 3 1m…..

Swwaah was a winner on race course debut over 1m back in April. Was stepped up to 1m 2f at Lingfield(AW) finishing a 6 length runner up in May before finishing 6th of 7 over 1m 2f at this course in June. Has had a break and is dropped back to 1m. Trainer Owen Burrows is in fine form.

Today’s Trackers….

Midweek Madness!

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing blog brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles and united by the sport of kings. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight….

Yesterday was an unlucky day, with the two heavily punted horses both finishing in the places but the newcomer winning for Owen Burrows…. It’s all back to normal today, with Charlie returning….. so it’s over you Charlie to kick us off with his selections… Welcome Back!

Charlie –

2018-09-26-07-49-43

Codicil -Won 4 times as a 2yr old from 7f to 1m, although was poor at Chelmsford over 1m in a Class 2 back in May. Has since undergone wind surgery and is upped in distance to 1m 6f today. Breeding suggests that today’s trip shouldn’t be an issue as her dam won up-to 1m 7f and at 10-1 is generally a nice Eachway price.

Eachway Advised

.

Rolling Maul -Won last time out at Worcester over 1m 7f after changing tactics, front running seemed to do the trick and although this race looks deeper in comparison that 17 length demolition to Miss Mash at Worcester looks very solid. Has an extra 7lbs to carry here but if in same mindset as last time should at least grab a place and at 13-2 is worth an Eachway shout.

Eachway Advised

.

Epaulement -Was 4th here over 1m 3f in a Class 3 handicap in August, has placed 2nd on 3 separate occasions and won over 1m 1f to 1m 2f. Although is now 10lb higher than last winning mark may still get involved here if in the same frame of mind.

Win Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Simple Saturday…..

1475768411249.JPG--newbury_racecourse

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips…. A 100% Independent racing blog brought to you by two racing enthusiast’s from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow, which Rich is from the Isle of Wight, miles apart but united by the sport of kings….

And yes we are more than just ‘Tips’ as you can see from our website, with Features, Interviews, big race stats etc(Feel free to have a look)….

It’s a simple Saturday with some Group races as the flat racing starts to head towards the season closer’s with Champions Day & the Arc, so in the next few weeks we will be mixing National Hunt racing with flat and then plenty of All Weather (Dundalk & Wolverhampton on a Friday & you know the winter has arrived!).

A standard blog with Charlie’s Selections while Rich has the Final Word…. So let’s get them loaded in the stalls and ready to rock n roll….

Charlie –

2018-09-22-11-28-23

Billy No Mates -Won here over 6f back in August in a Class 5 Auction race. Was then sent to Redcar to contest another Class 5 auction race over 6f in August and finished 6th some 7 lengths behind winner Fognini. Was then sent to Thirsk to contest another Class 5 race stepping up in distance to 1m and winning again beating My Ukulele by 3 and 1/2 lengths. That victory at Thirsk was on soft ground and although today’s going is heavy and is 10lb higher still looked as though there was more improvement to come and could get involved if race is run slightly slower than usual due to the underfoot conditions.

Win Advised

.

Mountain Angel -Won a Class 4 Apprentice handicap over 1m at Ascot in May beating Secret Return by 4 lengths. Next on the agenda was a trip to Sandown to contest a Class 3 handicap over 1m and finished 3rd to Chief Of Chiefs. Was then sent to Haydock to contest another Class 3 handicap over 1m and again finished 3rd to Alemaratalyoum. Was then sent back to Sandown to contest a Class 2 handicap stepping up in distance to 1m 2f and finished 2nd to Dubai Horizon and was only a 1/2 length defeat. Has held its form in each run and still looks capable of winning again, gets ideal conditions and another bold display is expected over this trip if repeating the run shown at Sandown last time that should be enough to take this race.

Win Advised

.

Golden Apollo -Although without a win in last 5 starts, did show some promise 3 starts back at York when finishing 2nd by a neck to stablemate Flying Pursuit who is also in this race although Flying Pursuit has since finished behind a few of today’s opponents last time out at Ripon. Golden Apollo is out of Pivotal who has a good record on heavy ground with its progeny and at 16-1 is worth an Eachway play here.

Eachway Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word

Thanks Charlie, I am pretty sure you are due a good day and I know it will be very soon…. As for this Column, another 2YO added to the tracker – Fashion’s Star winning well yesterday, so we have plenty for the next few weeks and for next season(Always prepared).

For today we have a mix of 2YO debutants, seasoned runners and a couple from France! Let’s see if we can get a few in the winners enclosure…

Let’s start with the seasoned runners and finish on the 2YO’s….

Ayr… Heavy..

4.25 Handicap Class 2 1m 2f…

Mafaaheem has finished runner up on 5 occasions and the Shamardel gelding of Owen Burrows was again runner up last time out in a York C3 handicap finishing 3 lengths behind Society Rock over 1m 2f but has a liking to heavy ground and was a convincing winner in this ground last August…..

Newbury… Good to Soft…

2.20 Legacy Cup Stakes Group 3 1m 3f…

Young Rascal finished 7th in the Derby behind Masar & Roaring Lion and was not seen to the best effect that day. Has had a break and is returning today, dropping from  Group 1. Already a Group 3 winner when beating Ex Dee Bee in the G3 Chester Vase and could have a nice autumn …..

2.55 Mill Reef Group 2 2YO Only 6f…

Kessar is a Kodiac colt with 2 wins from 5 runs and has won 2 of the last 3 including a Windsor 6f C4 novice stakes by 10 lengths. Finished down the 6th of 7 in a Ripon 2YO 6f listed  contest but was only beaten 2 lengths, with winner Sporting Chance winning a French G3 and 5th Bar Bill landing a C1 at the Curragh.

Kessar was 6th and last time out landed a Kempton(AW) G3 on September 8th by 2 & 1/2 lengths….

2018-09-16-10-36-49

Longchamp …Good to Soft…

2.45 De Tarragon Group 3 1m 1f…

Expressiy had 3 runs in Meydan between January & March finishing 3/3/2 before having a 66 day break and returning in May to run in the Pretty Polly Stakes, where finishing runner up to Lah Ti Dah, since won & finished runner up in last weeks St Leger. Given a longer break of 125 days and returned on September 9th in France at La Teste DE Buch and landing the Occitanie Listed stakes. Will Charlie Appleby’s runner make it 2 from 2 in France today?

3.45 Prince D’Orange Group 3 3YO Only 1m 2f…

A couple of prospective candidates for this race and both are very interesting for different reasons…

Ghaiyyath is returning from a 343 day break and was last seen in October 2017 at Newmarket landing the Group 3 Autumn Stakes by 1 & 3/4 lengths, this is the season start for him and may not been seen to best effect today but is still one to note….

While on the other hand Willie John is 2 from 2 having won his maiden at Yarmouth last October before returning at Doncaster in a 1m 2f C5 novice stakes, winning impressively by 5 lengths. This is a big step up in class but has the faith of connections and they will be expecting a big run…

Now we finish with 3 2YO’s making their race course debut, that could go in the tracker..

Newmarket… Good…

2.10 Fillies’ Novice Stakes Class 4 2YO Only 1m…

Ever Changing is a Tapit filly and half sister to Wissahickson. Dam Rainbow View was a Fillies’ Mile winner at 2YO.. John Gosden trained…

Chelmsford(AW) … Standard…

2.50 Fillies’ Novice Stakes Class 4 1m 2f…..

Keltie is a Giants Causeway filly and sister to Utmost. Dam Fugative Angel was a 1m Grade 3 US winner and is trained by John Gosden….

Newbury…Good to Soft..

4.05 Novice Stakes Class 4 2YO Only 7f…

Shoot for Gold is a Sea the Stars colt, who’s Dam Lamazonia was a 1m 2f winner and is trained by S.Bin Suroor….

That is everything for you today folks, a little bit of something for everyone, we will be posting a list of the 2yYO’s that we will be following for next season that have come out in this column and it is likely more will be noted & added during the final few weeks of the season….

Thanks for popping by folks, we really appreciate your support. We can confirm another BIG interview will be published tomorrow evening…

Charlie –

2018-09-21-07-39-32

True Hero -Was 2nd on debut at Windsor over 6f beaten 1/2 length by Golden Force. Stable have won last two Running’s of this race and Oisin Murphy is on board and he is simply unstoppable at the moment.

Win Advised

.

Mawsool -Was 3rd on debut at Newmarket over 6f some 5 lengths behind Khaadem, should have more to offer with that run under the belt and can take this race with normal progress.

Win Advised

.

Make Me -Has placed 4 times in the first 3 places in it’s last 5 starts over 1m to 1m 2f. Was 2nd last time out at Carlisle over 1m in a Class 5 handicap. If in same mind set as last run at Carlisle could easily shed its maiden at the 7th time of asking.

Win Advised

.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

Thanks Charlie, a nice winner buddy… That full house is coming….. As for this column it has been a rather fruitful week with the 2YO debutants.

Another winner yesterday Hidden Message, which is a nice filly sired by the late Scat Daddy and has gone straight in the tracker. I continue this theme tomorrow, but it will be back to normal on Saturday, with a mix & match Column…

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips… A 100% independent racing blog brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts, Charlie hails from Glasgow while Rich is from the Isle of Wight and despite being at either end of the UK, we are united by the sport of kings…

Knocking on the door… That is what Charlie is doing, close again today and it really is only a matter of time before he land’s a full house, so don’t say you we not warned!

Standard blog, Charlie has his Selection’s while Rich will have the Final Word…. So let’s crack on!

Charlie

2018-09-20-07-50-52

Isaan Queen -Won at Lingfield on debut over 6f In a Class 5, then was sent to Ffos Las and finished 6th in another Class 5. Was then sent to Chelmsford to contest a Class 4 over 5f and finished 2nd by 2 and 1/2 length to Lovin. Is reunited with Oisin Murphy who was on board when winning on debut at Lingfield taking over from Holly Doyle who was onboard for the two losses.

Win Advised

.

Queens Sargent -Won at Musselburgh on heavy ground back in March. Has been poor since then and has slipped to an attractive mark and returns to track where going should be more suitable. If in same mindset as that run at Musselburgh should be in the mix here although does carry a bit of a risk due to recent poor runs.

Win Advised

.

Rubenesque -Has won twice and placed 3 times from last 5 runs. Was 3rd at Hexam over 2m to Birch Vale in a Class 4 Novice Hurdle in May. Was then sent to Cartmel next and won over 2m 6f on a Class 4 maiden hurdle beating Sonic by 1/2 length. Next on the agenda was a trip to Carlisle to contest a Class 5 handicap over 2m 1f and won again beating Circling Moon by 9 lengths. A return to Cartmel was next in the agenda but Rubenesque found Bon Chic was too good and finished 2 and 1/2 lengths behind in 2nd. Latest was a Class 4 handicap at York where Rubenesque finished 3rd a nose and a neck separating the first 3 home with Le Maitre Chat taking the win. Sets a fair standard here and given its last few races have panned out well another bold display looks likely here and gets my 3b selection today.

.

Rich’s Final Word –

Thanks Charlie, close again yesterday & that FULL HOUSE is on it’s way….. AS for this column, I have been focusing on horses making their race course debut’s….

Three more are added to the tracker from yesterday, with 2 winning on debut – Royal Meeting for S.Bin Suroor and Old Glory for Aidan O’Brien, both look very nice horses and will be better next season, although we are likely to see them again as they both hold Group 1 entries.

The other added is Hasankey, who finished a running on 5th in the same maiden as Old Glory…..

We are a little short on the debutants today with just one, but I have added one I noted when making debut last month….

Yarmouth….

2.20 Novice Stakes Class 4 2YO Only 1m….

Boerhan is a Sea the Stars colt, noted in here on debut on August 17th. Made a winning debut over 7f at Newbury(was a Dead Heat with Shelia’s Showcase) Runs under a penalty from top weight for William Haggas with James Doyle on board….

And now the Debutant…..

2.50 Fillies’ Novice Stakes Class 4 2YO Only 6f 3y….

Hidden Message is a Scat Daddy filly and half sister to two winners Encipher(7f – 1m) and Respect Me (1m 1f – 1m 4f). Her Dam Secret Charm was a 2YO winner. Trained by William Haggas and Oisin Murphy rides for Qatar Racing…..

That is all for today folks, it’s great to see you all popping by and we really appreciate your support….

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips, a 100% independent racing blog, brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the UK. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight, separated by 2 countries but united by the sport of kings…..

Its always nice to get a winner on the board at the start of the week and that’s just what Charlie has done, with 2 runner up spots from his 3 selection’s it’s a nice start…..

So let’s see what we have for today….. Standard blog, Charlie’s Selections with Rich having the Final Word….

Charlie –

2018-09-19-09-26-58

Clashaniska -Was a fair 4th on debut for G Elliot at the Curragh over 7f and was only 4 lengths behind the winner Breaking Story. Drops back in distance to 6f and should have more to offer here with that debut run under the belt.

Win Advised

.

Whitlock -Won at Windsor over 1m 2f in a Class 5 handicap on the 6th August. Won again in another Class 5 handicap at Newmarket over 1m 2f on the 17th August. Was then sent to Sandown to contest a Class 4 handicap over 1m 2f and finished 4th beaten 4 length by Hulcolte.  Drops slightly in trip here and that could be enough to swing race in favor of Whitlock, although the dangers Dawn Dancer and Ensemble aren’t to be taken lightly but my preference is for Whitlock to come out on top today.

Win Advised

.

Courtside -Won at Chelmsford over 1m on 13th June in a Class 5 handicap. Was sent to Newmarket next time out to contest another Class 5 handicap over 1m and finished 3rd. Was stepping up in distance at Yarmouth next time out to 1m 1f in a Class 4 handicap and finished 4th some 4 lengths behind winner Leigh’s Law. Drops back to ideal trip of 1m today and a bold display looks likely.
