Hello and welcome to arseonlineracing. A 100% independent racing website with NO affiliate links. This website is curated by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. Miles apart but united by the sport of kings…

A bad day all round yesterday with only 2 winners from Rich in his Final Word column, albeit 4/5 & 2/1… That was yesterday & today is a different day. Newbury host the Lockinge Stakes, while Newmarket have a couple of Listed races, so lets get cracking…

Charlie will lead the way with his Saturday Selections while Rich will have the Final Word, so with all thoughts loaded into the stalls… Lets open the gates!

Charlie…..

Newbury 3.00 Solid Stone 9-2-Has 2 wins and a 2nd from 4 runs, wins have came at Newcastle over 7f and then at Newmarket over 1m 2f. Is now 6lb worse off but If handling the extra weight can get involved here with Ryan Moore on board. Danger comes in the shape of Sds Mount Good Birthday who has 2 wins and a 2nd from last 3 runs.

Win Advised

.

Newbury 3.40 Newbury Romanised 14-1-Was runner up to Masar as a 2yr old and won last year’s Irish 2,000 Guineas, although form has slipped considerably since. Finished 5th over 7f at Naas last time out when denied a clear run when carrying 5lb extra, if building on that could easily get involved here and could sneak a place at a nice price.

Eachway Advised

.

Thirsk 6.10 Orient Express 10-1 -Orient Express is without a win so far having had just 3 starts on the All Weather. Finished 3rd two starts back at Wolverhampton over 7f, some 3 lengths behind Blame Culture. Makes handicap debut off a lenient mark and could get involved here in a very open looking race where most have questions to answer.

Eachway Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for the Final Word.
