AS I mentioned earlier, there are some cracking races on Saturday, so here are a few I have noted that could go well….

Chester – 3.40 – Handicap – C4 – 1m 2f 70y

Sands Chorus – Won last time out by a head over distance after stepping up from 1m to 1m 2f from Dancing King, that was in a class 3 at Ripon, which Sands Chorus ran from the front & today’s track suits that style too, up 3 for win

Goodwood(Good) – 2.00 – Listed Class 1 -1m 2f

Mount Logan -Won on seasonal return last year off 110, now 109, 2/3 C/D Wins & 3rdin Listed contest over C/D in September, returns today

Curragh- 4.10 – Irish 2,000 Guineas – Group 1 Class 1 – 3YO Only – 1m

Churchill – English 2,000 Guineas winner on seasonal return, when beating Barney Roy by 1 length, adding to his previous Group 1 wins in the Dewhurst & Vincent O’Brien Stakes last season – DANGER – Thunder Snow – WAs 2 lengths behind Churchill in last season’s Dewhurst, won both starts in Meydan including the UAE Derby, played Bucking Bronco when sent to the USA for the Kentucky Derby, if travelled ok, could be a decent EW chance

4.45 – Stud Stakes – Group 2 Class1  – 1m

Raymonda – 2nd on season return to Custom Cut by 1/2 a length in the Group 3 Amethyst Stakes, 4th career run

Haydock (Good to Firm) – 4.05 – Temple Stakes – Group2 Class 1 – 5f

Quiet Reflection- Has won on each season return but not a 5f start since 1st season, when winning twice, including a Group 3 at Newmarket. Won the Sandy Lane on return(6f)last season before winning the Commonwealth Cup – DANGER- Washington DC – Won at Navan before a cracking 2nd to Marsha by a neck at Newmarket last time out

Also running at Haydock is Brian the Snail, 1 of my 5 to follow, poor run last time out….

& Finally a Debut at York – 4.25 – Maiden – C3 – 2YO Only- 6f

Zaman – Dutch Art Colt, cost 160,000 Guineas, half brother to Street Jazz, Trainer Charlie Appleby has a 54% SR with 2YO debuts this season 6 wins from 11 runs. William Buick on board the pair have a 29% SR 16 wins from 55 runs.

Well there you have it another packed blog post with plenty to keep you busy until races start. The People’s Nap Vote result will be updated when voting closes. In the meantime please remember to keep stakes small and hopefully end the day with a few winners.

…Good Luck…
