Hi Charlie here and welcome to another Arseonline tips page bringing some important changes I’m implementing for the coming jumps season. Normally my selections fall into 3 category’s:
1- Nap – This selection is normally priced between even money and 4-1
2- Next Best – This selection is normally priced between 5-1 and 8-1
3- 3rd Best – This selection is normally priced 8-1 or above.
During the last couple of seasons I have had some nice prices win, but because of price being higher than napping price it’s gone into the Next Best or 3rd best category. I have also noted that my Nap sometimes isn’t my strongest fancy due to price’s and I have decided to introduce a 🌟 rating for each runner. This will run alongside Nap, Next Best and 3rd Best. It should bring some clarity on the strength of my selections and give an overall better understanding of how I feel about the horse in question. This will initially be a trial for the Jumps season but if it proves to be successful will be fully integrated through all my selections, in the meantime please read on to find out more…
The 🌟 Rating has only 3 levels and they will be simple to follow please read next passage carefully.
🌟 Ratings Explained
🌟 one star means it has a slight chance but may need a bit of luck in running, this could be a horse carrying a penalty or going up in trip or grade or on a winning mark but hasn’t shown promise for a while.
🌟🌟 2 stars is a stronger fancy, this could be a horse that has ideal conditions over course and distance, positive jock and trainer combination or just a stronger selection based on form.
🌟🌟🌟 3 stars is the strongest selection based on form, class, breeding, winning race previously, nicely handicapped or having the race as a target by connections.
Pretty straightforward rules, the more stars the stronger I feel about it’s chances and should in return provide a clearer picture of how my selection process works.
