Hello & welcome to Arseonlineracing. The 100% Independent racing website with NO affiliate links..

It was great to see Nashwa win the Nassau Stakes, following up her fine win in France with a great ride from Hollie Doyle

No fools of the day BUT if your on Twitter, definitely follow @OBMRacing, the funniest account on Twitter…

Chris is back with us today along with Jamie & Rich. Jamie was in fine form yesterday with a winner & a huge EW landed

Chris –

3.35 King George Qatar Stakes

Raasel has gone from strength to strength over the past 12 months, going from 6 handicap wins from 7 starts to landing Listed and Group 3 honours this summer, all over this trip. Today presents his sternest test to date and will have to be delivered late by James Doyle once more. If they go a strong gallop, which is more than likely here, he should be flying late on to land the spoils.

2:25 – Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes (G3)

Selection: Bayside Boy

This Group 3 over a mile represents a two grade drop in class for Bayside Boy today who holds strong claims today. Roger Varian’s son of New Bay has been campaigned in Group 1 company so far this season. After a well below par run in the French Guineas, Bayside Boy bounced back to form with a close two length defeat in the St James’ Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot when seventh. Unfortunately a slowly run race and being held up towards the rear didn’t help his cause that day. Back in calmer waters today on suitable quick ground, I fancy Bayside Boy to get his head back in front today. Ryan Moore in the saddle is another boost to his chances.

7:10 – Guinness Irish EBF Fillies Maiden

Selection: Raving Royal

This 3yo+ Maiden over 1m 4f has attracted a sizeable field of 18. There is a few candidates who stand out more than others with the O’Brien clan holding a strong hand. However, it is a Willie Mullins inmate Raving Royal who I believe can take the spoils. It was a promising debut run from Raving Royal when 3rd in a decent standard of a maiden with the winner being the well regarded Ballydoyle Colt Newfoundland, whilst the 2nd and 5th have won since. Soft ground went against Raving Royal next time out at Bellewstown where she was well beaten, I wouldn’t read too much into it though. Back on a sound surface and the Galway hill sure to suit, it could be another winner for the master of Closutton.

3.00 – Golden Mile Handicap – Class 2- 3yo+ – 1m…
Jimi Hendrix – New Bay X Planchart 3yo colt.

3 wins from 6 career starts, won on final start of 2021. He finished a 3/4’s of a length 3rd of 6 on seasonal return in a 7f Salisbury Class 4 Novice Stakes on May 1st before stepping up in trip to 1m on handicap debut. He won that day on May 28th in a Class 4 Handicap at Haydock by 1 length from an opening mark of 83.
A trip to Ascot last month, June 16th in the Class 2 1m Britannia Stakes, the colt finished a 1 & 1/2 length 3rd of 30, from a mark of 87.
His last run was on July 9th at Newmarket, in the Mile Class 2 Handicap, from a mark of 92 & he won by a short head. Today he carries a 3lb penalty for the win, so a mark of 95 today & will go up to 98 after this run – EACH WAY

Thanks for popping by, were really grateful for your support, it means a lot to us..

Good Luck – The AOLR Team
