Hello and welcome to arseonlineracing. This website is 100% independent & has no affiliate links.
The website is curated by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow while Rich is from the Isle of Wight… Miles apart but united by the sport of kings….

Day one of the December meeting got off to a fantastic start with winners from Nicky Henderson & Fergal O’Brien. The French raider landed the Cross Country as they did in November, so we look forward to a nice card today, with a couple of Graded races to look forward to…..

As usual on a Saturday, Charlie will lead the way & Rich will have the Final Word, so take it away Charlie……

Charlie –

12.45 – Mr Fisher -Normally seen over 2m with some decent performances at that distance. Won a novice hurdle at Kempton in December last year over 2m. Then won another novice hurdle at Haydock over 2m in January this year. Posted 2 poor performances at Cheltenham in March and at Haydock in May when finishing 8th and 7th retrospectively. Finished 2nd on most recent start at Warwick over 2m last time out when beaten 3 lengths by Torpillo. Goes up in distance for todays race over 2m 4f and 127y and should relish the extra yardage. Currently available around 11/4 with most firms.

Win Advised

3.05 – Pentland Hills -Has had 3 runs this year and won all 3 for Nicky Henderson, the 1st of those wins came at Plumpton over 2m when beating The Flying Sofa by 14 lengths. Was then sent to Cheltenham and raced over 2m 1f and won again beating Coeur Sublime by 3 lengths. Latest run came at Aintree and Pentland Hills won again beating Fakir D’oudairies by a neck, Pentland Hills looks a nice prospect for Nicky Henderson and should be in the mix today, Currently available around the 11/4 price with most firms at time of writing.

Win Advised

3.40 – Dame Compagnie -Has 2 wins and a 2nd place finish from last 5 runs. The wins have came at Uttoxeter over 2m in November 2017 and Cheltenham over 2m 4f in April 2019 and the 2nd place finish came at Ascot over 2m 3f in February 2018. Setbacks have been very frustrating and if everything has been sorted, should take all the beating today and could make a mockery out of that 2-1 price come race time. Was 5th here on seasonal return over 2m when rallying late and passing rivals on run in. Step back up in trip to 2m 4f and 56y should be more suitable and another bold run is anticipated.

Win Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pockets. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

Final Word with Rich….

Thanks Charlie, it was good to land 3 from 4 last week and lets hope we can become like that supermarket chain, where every little helps!

Cheltenham… Good to Soft….

Was again a runner up in a Class 2 Handicap over 2m 4f by 1 & 3/4’s of a length to Rider ofthe Storm, who misses out due to an administrative error. Oldgrangewood was in 3rd that day & won next time out at Newbury….

2.30 The Bristol Novice Hurdle… Grade 2… 2m 7f 213yds…

Champagne Well…  Finally won over hurdles here in the October meeting in a 2m 5f Class 2 Novice Hurdle by 1/2 a length before finishing a 3 length runner up in the Grade 2 Hyde Novice Hurdle to Thyme Hill….

3.05 International Hurdle… Grade 2… 2m 179yds…

Elixir De Nutz…. 3 wins from 4 starts last season with 2 of those wins coming at this course. Landed the Sharp Novice Hurdle and the landed the C&D Class 3 at this meeting by beating Jarveys Plate by 1 & 3/4 lengths. Made it 3 from 4 when taking the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle by 1/2 a length at Sandown when last seen on January 5th. Season return….

That is everything for you today folks… Thank you for your support & for popping by…
