Not the best day at Haydock, with only 1 winner as the rain came in spades and changed the going… The extra from Doncaster won too, so 2 winners on the day…
Having gone through the UK & Irish cards, we are taking a trip to France!

The card from Longchamp is quite nice & the highlight is the Group 1 Prix Ganay at 3.25….

1.35 Prix Du Pont Neuf… Listed Stakes… 3YO Only… 7f…

Epic Hero… Winner on the All Weather at Chantilly in the 1m Belvedere Stakes to break his maiden tag at the 3rd attempt. Given the task of taking on Persian King in the Group 3 Prix De Fontainebleau over 1m on April 14th. Finished a 5 length runner up, a head in front of UK raider Duke of Hazard & now drops back to 7f….

2.50 Prix Allez France… Group 3… 1m 2f…

Lunch Lady.. Yet to win on the turf having won 2-2 on the All Weather and is a Listed winner over 7 & 1/2f back in November. Finished 3rd last time out on March 30th by a neck in the Group 3 Edmond Blanc at St-Cloud over 1m and now steps up in trip….

DANGER… Dramatic Queen… Finished 5 & 1/2 lengths behind Sea of Class in June 2018 but ended the year winning the last 2 starts although both on the All Weather. Was last seen at Lingfield winning a Class 1 Listed 1m 3f contest. Makes Season return for William Haggas…

3.25 Prix Ganay… Group 1… 1m 2f 96yds..

Ghaiyyath…. Has 4 wins from 5 career runs. Only had 1 run in 2018 when winning the Prix D’orange 1m 2f Group 3 at this course before making seasonal return here on April 7th in the D’hardcourt 1m 2f Group 2 by 1 & 1/2 lengths from Soleil Marin, who re-opposes again today & is likely to be in the mix with only 5 runners going to post.

The race also see’s the return of Waldgeist, who was a multiple 1m 4f Group winner last season and finished a 1 & 1/2 length 4th to Enable in the Arc De Triomphe in October before heading to the Breeders Cup. Made seasonal return in this race last season before stepping up to 1m 4f…

That is everything for you today folks…. Thanks for popping by and I hope this helps…

All the Best – Rich & Charlie
