It’s been a while….

Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing blog, with NO affiliate links in sight… This website is run by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles, Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight, miles apart but united by the sport of kings….

They say rest is good for the soul, well let’s hope that is true. Charlie took a break from blogging while Rich had a wee trip to Northern Ireland… We are back now, Charlie is refreshed while Richs liver is recovering!!

It’s a standard blog, Charlie has his selections while Rich will have the Final Word….

Charlie –

Fakenham 1.10 Wood Pigeon -Won over course and distance back in January on heavy ground in a Class 5 although was 4lbs lower, not been seen since April when finishing 4th at Hereford over 2m 5f. Has undergone wind surgery since that last run and if that works could be well in based on previous form.

Win Advised

Southwell 2.00 Weymss Point – Won last two starts at Wetherby over 2m 4f in Class 3 company. Steps up in trip to 2m 7f and 209y although is uncertain over this distance Weymss Point has won over 2m 6f before at Pontefract in April and should be capable over this trip.

Win Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for the Final Word.

Final Word with Rich –

Thanks Charlie, its always nice to have a few days away from everything and clear the head, I am raring to go so let’s get cracking…..

2.00 Handicap Hurdle… Class 3… 2m 8f….

Wemyss Point… Won on seasonal return on November 3rd in a C3 2m 4f handicap hurdle at Wetherby by 11 lengths and then followed it up by winning last time out again at Wetherby in a 2m 4f C3 handicap hurdle under a penalty by 1 & 1/2 lengths from Big Time Dancer, who won a Doncaster C3 handicap hurdle last time out….. Up in trip.

12.50 Handicap… Class 6… 6f…

Wotadoll…. Ran in a Class 1 6f Listed race at Newmarket in August finishing 9th of 16 runners before dropping back to Class 6 on October 24th, when finishing 2nd at Chelmsford, only beaten 1/2 a length. A ready winner last time out at Chelmsford in a C6 6f handicap on November 8th, winning by 1 & 3/4 lengths….

2.20 Handicap… Class 2… 5f…

Corinthia Knight…. Although not winning since March, when landing the All Weather Championships C2 sprint and that was 5 runs back. That said a 1/2 length runner up spot over 5f at Chelmsford in August is of interest. Finished 6th, in a C1 Listed 6f at this course, only beaten 1/2 a length and that was the first run for 92 days. Has top rating too…

The Danger could be Gracious John, who has won this race the last 2 years and is 5 wins from 6 C/D runs. Although was behind Corinthia Knight in that Listed race….

That is everything for you today folks… Thanks for popping by, we really appreciate your support and thanks to everyone, who has taken the time to read our latest interview and National Hunt review by Chris Price….

All the Best – Charlie & Rich
