Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing website, brought to you by two racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight… Miles apart but united by the sport of kings!
A day away for us yesterday and it was needed… To gain some focus and enjoy time with our families, as sometimes this can take over and you need to step back & think about the more important things in life… Family!
Right… Where do we start today with plenty of racing on offer in both codes, Cheltenham & Doncaster to name just two….
Charlie has his Saturday Selections while Rich will have the Final Word… So the tape is raised and we are racing…..
Modus 🌟🌟🌟- was a very talented hurdler and has some form in chases winning 3 from 6 over the larger obstacles. Although was well beaten in last two starts over fences at Aintree and Cheltenham, is 10lbs lower than hurdles rating for handicap chase and drops considerably in distance and that looks like a positive as hurdle form over this distance is solid and should be able to transfer that form to fences with a 50% success rate the larger obstacles.
Perfect Tapatino 🌟🌟-Trained by Joseph O’Brien this horse hasn’t been out of the first 3 places in 5 starts, winning 3 times at the Curragh over 1m 2f, then stepped up in distance to 1m 4f at Naas and winning again. Latest win was at Leopardstown again over 1m 4f in October. Has been raised a further 7lb but looked to have a bit in hand when winning at Leopardstown when beating One Cool Poet by 1/2 length and with a similar display could easily go in again to land the hat-trick.
Procedure 🌟🌟-Had placed 2nd on 3 separate occasions before disappointing at Pontefract on soft going last time out. The 2nd places came at Brighton and Wolverhampton over 5f and Chelmsford over 6f. Still on a reasonable mark and return to all-weather surface at Kempton is a positive and if repeating the run shown at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford puts Procedure in the frame here in a weak race.
Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.
