Hello and welcome to arseonlinetips. A100% independent racing blog, brought to you by two racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. Miles apart but united by the sport of kings…

Wow, how was Champions Day on Saturday, it was so good we had to take a couple of days off to get our breath back and to refocus the mind…. Cracksman winning on his final start and retaining his crown, was special but the Breaking News that Roaring Lion will be retired after running at the Breeders Cup was a shock!

And then just yesterday news broke that Luca Cumani is to retire from training in December, the Derby winning trainer is calling it a day after 43 years…… We would like to wish all the best for a happy retirement.

Blimey it’s all going on….. Now down to Tuesday’s racing…. Standard blog… Charlies Selections while Rich has the Final Word….

Charlie –

.Potters Lady Jane -Won here last time out over 1m 3f in a Class 4 handicap, has also placed 2nd here in a Class 5 Maiden in August when narrowly beaten by a short head. If repeating the form shown in both those runs should be in the mix here and gain another victory.

Win Advised

.Implicit -Has 3 wins and a 2nd place from last 6 runs. Although has now gone two starts without winning looked a tad unlucky last time out at Musselburgh when losing by 1 and 1/4 length. Steps up to 6f today and if handling the extra furlong should be thereabouts again.

Win Advised

.Pike Corner Cross -Although hasn’t won for a while, looked to be rediscovering form last time out when finishing 2nd over course and distance last week. Pike Corner Cross runs off the same mark here and this race is slightly easier on paper and another bold display can’t be discounted.

Win Advised

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.

Final Word with Rich…..
