Welcome to arseonlinetips. A 100% independent racing website, brought to you by 2 racing enthusiasts from either end of the British Isles. Charlie hails from Glasgow, while Rich is from the Isle of Wight. Miles apart but united by the sport of kings….
There is plenty of racing around this weekend, with Saturday’s highlight the Sun Chariot Fillies/Mares’ Group1 at Newmarket before we have the Prix De L’Arc De Triomphe from Longchamp on Sunday afternoon…. Just the 6 cards in the UK and Ireland, with racing from Longchamp as well, so plenty to get our teeth into…..
We have a standard blog, with Charlie’s selection’s before Rich has the Final Word….. So let’s get cracking….
Cape Byron -Was 2nd to Flaming Spear 2 runs back at Goodwood, was then sent to Ascot and finished 2nd to Ripp Orf although was only a 1/2 length behind. Has been raised another 2lb and is taken to turn the tables here with no issues in regards to going as acts on fast ground and soft ground.
See The Sea -Has been poor in both starts this season when finishing down the field at Nottingham and Bath , but was in good shape prior to that, having won at Bath and Pontefract over 1m 2f in last two races last season. If recapturing form shown in those two runs could be in the mix here but will need to step up considerably to take this race.
River Cafe -Although is still a Maiden after 11 runs showed signs of promise when finishing 3rd here in July over course and distance. Latest 2nd at Lingfield over 1m 2f suggested that it’s only a matter of time before winning as only went down by a neck to Cat Royale. Today’s race looks less competitive and a chance is taken that she gets her head in front here to shed that Maiden tag.
Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. My form has been a bit hit and miss of late with 2nd places plaguing me on a daily basis. So caution is recommended untill that improves. I will now hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.
Rich’s Final Word –
Cheers Charlie and it will happen sooner or later, my guess is sooner! I had my rant yesterday, so please remember that the racing is on ITV4 and the two races from Longchamp are likely to be on At the Races or Racing UK…. Let’s get started…
