Welcome to arseonlinetips, a 100 % Independent racing blog and part of the arseonlinetips website. This site is brought to you by two racing enthusiast’s from either end of the British Isles or from Glasgow to the Isle of Wight….
It’s finally Saturday and what a load of great racing we have on show, with Ascot, Haydock, Redcar, Newmarket, Ayr, Cork and Kilbeggan in Ireland and all-weather racing from Lingfield and Chelmsford, plenty to look at so let’s crack on and see what Charlie has found and I will catch up with you later for Final Word.
.Markazi hasn’t been out of the first 3 in his last 4 runs with form reading 2nd at Cagnes in January this year over 1m. Was then 3rd at Toulouse over 1m in March. Was then sent to Chantilly in May and won over 1m, next race was at Marseilles Borely in June again over 1m and won again. Now with D O’meara and makes UK debut off a generous mark considering it had won 50% of races it took part in over in France and looks the one to beat here.
.Racked up 3 wins this season before finishing 3rd in latest spin around Ayr over 1m in July. Has been rested for 3 weeks and is only 1lb higher here for finishing 3rd at Ayr last month. Hopefully can continue the progress here and add another win for the Easterbys.
.Was progressing nicely for Joseph O’Brien last season holding it’s form well whilst finishing in first 3 places in last 5 starts. Makes Chase debut here and drops considerably in distance having raced over 3m last time now goes over 2m 3f 600y. If handling the drop in distance and the larger obstacles should be thereabouts in a race that is very winnable.
Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket.
Rich’s Final Word –
Cheers Charlie and as mentioned plenty of racing(too much in my opinion, by that’s just my view!) This section yielded two winners and hopefully the debutants will come on for their runs….. Only 3 for you today(What from all 135,000 runners) yes just 3…. Hopefully it will be quality over quantity…. I’ve had my blinkers fitted before I reach the stalls, so we are good to go….
Ascot….. Host’s the Shergar cup and I have avoided this for the last couple of season’s but I have found one amongst the rest of the card that I think is very nice….
2.50 Shergar Cup Mile Class 2 1m ….. Bless Him is a nice Sea the Stars Colt, who finished a 6 length 3rd of 8 last time out in a York 1m C2 on July 14th and with the runner up and 4th since winning goes into today’s race with some very nice form behind him….
Frankie Detorri went to Newmarket instead of Ascot and although I don’t blame him, maybe with a very high profile jockey on board the event would take on a lot more relevance in the racing calendar, anyway off to Newmarket we go and NO it’s not a Frankie mount that I have noted…
3.10 Handicap Class 2 1m 2f…. Danceteria arrives looking for the 4 timer, having won a match contest last tome out by 5 lengths to make it 2 from 2 over C/D. But the C/D win prior to that match is the form which has caught my eye. Yes it is easy to look at the form and say, wow, 3 from last 3 but you also need to look at the substance of those races… Form of the C/D win in a C4 1m 2f handicap has been boosted with 3rd place winning 2 from 2 and 5th has also won along with Dance landing the match race, now up in class…..
And the last one I have for you today is on the All Weather at Chelmsford….
4.25 Handicap Class 4 1m 2f …… Rapier was beaten 1 & 1/2 length last of 4 runners when making handicap debut to Howman in a 1m 1f C5 at Yarmouth. Stepped up to 1m 2f at Doncaster on July 26th in a C5 handicap to win by 2 lengths and looks sure to improve today..
We have been actively trying to get top class interviews for you to follow on from Oisin Murphy, Harry Dunlop and our latest interview with Photographer Francesca Altoft… This is proving quite amusing, with some of the replies …. From ‘I don’t provide Tips’ to ‘Thanks for thinking of us, yes that will be great’ but we can reassure you all that tomorrow we will be bringing you a very honest interview with a trainer, who’s yard are at the top of their game…..
Thank you all for popping by folks and for talking he time to RT or Share our stuff…
All the Best – Charlie & Rich
