Charlie’s Selections –
.Was 2nd on debut at Newbury over 6f in May this year, next race was at Yarmouth over 6f in June and won beating Ustath by 3 lengths. Most recent run was at Doncaster over 7f in June when winning again beating Al Fajir Mukbile by 3 and 1/2 lengths. Those two victorys couldn’t have been any easier and although this race looks deeper on paper if repeating the form of those races here could be enough to enter the frame and get at least a place.

.Won last time out at Leicester over 7f beating Affluence by 1 and 3/4 lengths. Although hasn’t raced on this going breeding suggests that shouldn’t be a problem here and gets my Nap selection today.

.Interesting former Willie Mullins horse now with Joseph O’Brien, won 4 starts back at Fairyhouse back in November last year over 2m 4f, disappointing in next two races at Fairyhouse over 2m and Leopardstown over 3m both in December last year. Hinted of a return to form last time out Over 2m 4f at Down Royal when finishing 3rd. Makes Chase Debut and with Joseph’s ability to get the best out of his runners is taken to land this race giving the Obrien family another winner to add to their already bulging tally for the season.

I am raring to go after a day away…. Only one place for me today & that is Goodwood….
1.50 Handicap Class 2 1m 2f….. Alfarris was the last horse to beat top weight Rainbow Rebel on June 21st at Chelmsford(AW) in a C3 handicap. Although beaten on last run on July 6th when stepping up to Class 2 company at Sandown by a neck and should go well again here today……
2.25 Vintage Stakes Group 2 2YO Only 7f….. Cosmic Law has 2 wins from 4 runs since finishing 5th on his Doncaster debut back in May. Last won at Epsom on June 1st landing the Woodcote C2 by 6 lengths and last time out finished 9th of 23 by 7 & 1/2 lengths to Calyx in the Coventry Stakes . Up a furlong….
3.35 – Stradivarius…. See Tracker
5.15 Fillies’ Handicap Class 3 1m …. Move Swiftly was a winner on debut back in December 2017before finishing 3rd on season return at Wolverhampton(AW). Won on last run on July 10th in a C5 over 1m 1f 104y and now makes turf debut. James Doyle join’s forces with William Haggas’ and the pair have a 35% strike rate together… William Haggas has a 35% SR last 14 days while James Doyle has a 29% SR last 14 days…..
