After a few days away, we are back with a standard blog…. Welcome to arseonlinetips, a 100% Independent racing blog from Glasgow to the Isle of Wight!

We are heading into what could be a special weekend, but first we need to get through Friday.  Charlie will start the ball rolling and Rich will as always have the Final Word…

.Has won twice and placed 2nd from last 5 starts and is generally in good order going into this race. Won on seasonal return last time out at Chelmsford in a Class 3 handicap over 1m 2f, is now 6lb heavier and with a similar run may be able to go in again even with that extra burden.

.Won at Lingfield last time out over 1m in a Class 5 handicap, the 4th from that race has ran well since franking the form and although is 3lb heavier here can get involved if repeating the form shown last time out.

.Was 3rd at Clonmel over 2m 4f in December last year, was then sent to Tramore and finished 6th over 2m 5f again in December. Was then rested for the winter and made seasonal return in June again at Tramore and finished 2nd over 2m 6f. Should strip fitter here and if repeating run from last time out that should be enough to take the spoils here.

Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you over to Rich for The Final Word.

Rich’s Final Word –

Oh it’s good to be back and do we have a cracking Saturday Special for you tomorrow, but first let’s get Friday done & dusted before we get to the Eclipse…. Today I am starting at Sandown, so let’s crack on!

Having finished well down the field in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot, JungleintheBungle(1.50) will be looking to get back to winning ways for trainer Mick Channon. With 2 wins from 4 runs, having won before heading to Ascot, he should go well again in a lot smaller field now tackling the Dragon Stakes Listed 5f contest.

3.00 is a very nice Novice race, for 2yo Only in a Class 4 ran over 7f and the Leicester City Owners, King Power Ltd have a Frankel Colt running, who cost 700,000 Guineas as a yearling, trained by Andrew Balding. It is hoped Fox Premier will land the spoils, but he faces an AL Maktoum runner, trained by Roger Varian and sired by Sea the Moon. Three Comets also makes his debut( although I could have mentioned one or two more) This contest is likely to yield a few future winners!

And the final offering from Sandown is running in the Listed Gala Stakes(3.30) over 1m 2f, Euginio, who’s form since returning this season reads 3/2/2 and was runner up in the Wolferton Stakes(C1 Listed)  beaten by 1 length from Monarch Glen on June 19th and has a C/D win to his name….

A quick scan of the two other cards and I have one from both Doncaster & Haydock, so let’s start at Doncaster, where Ed Dunlop hand’s a race course debut to Jabalay(2.05) a Moohaajim Colt and half brother to Tabarrak….

While over at Haydock in the evening, Auxerre(7.20) a Iffraaj gelding, who finished a 1 length runner up over 1m(Todays distance) in a Class 4 Novice Stakes, makes his second start dropping down to Class 5…..

That is all for today folks….. I can tell you, that tomorrow for Eclipse day, we have a Guest Blogger( Maybe two if we are lucky) so you will have to read Saturday’s blog to find out who it is(No Spoilers!)

All the Best – Charlie & Rich
