Welcome to another edition of aresonlinetips blog…. Thursday’s Edition. We have the now standard Charlie’s Selection’s & Results with Rich’s Final Word. So let’s crack on ….
Charlie’s results –
Tassabok -Won as expected Advised at 15-2 but there was a 20p rule 4
Eirene -Finished 5th and was a loss.
Music Seeker -Finished 4th and was a loss.
Just the one winner from my 3 selections again on Wednesday, hopefully get a better run for my money with Thursday’s selections listed below.
Best Tamayuz -Has won 5 times at Southwell, although was just caught on the line here on Tuesday in a slightly better race, is able to run off correct mark today and If repeating that run from Tuesday will be hard to peg back in this easier affair.
Scotch Myst -Although both wins have came on fibersand at Southwell, has a good draw to attack from the front and looks very interesting here for Richard Fahey, if taking that form onto turf could be hard to catch.
Yabass -Has won twice and placed 2nd twice from last 5 starts, first of those wins was back in August last year at Windsor over 1m, was then sent to Haydock and finished 6th over 1m in September. Next two races were at Lingfield when finished 2nd on both occasions over 1m 2f and 1m 4f retrospectively. Latest victory came at Ripon in April this year when springing a surprise 13 length victory over Nibras Galaxy, although has been raised 4lb for that win the step up in trip to 1m 6f shouldn’t be an inconvenience and could go in again if last win wasn’t a fluke.
Well that’s my thoughts on today’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will now hand you over to Rich for The Final Word.
Rich’s Final Word –
Where do we start?? Invincible Army is definitely one to keep onside and will win a nice pot or two this season following his Pavilion Stakes victory yesterday… Dathanna could also be one to keep an eye on too. But that was yesterday and in the past….. What does Final Word have for you today?? Let’s See!
Back on the All Weather today, as I found nothing that caught my eye on the Turf at Redcar. Let’s start at Lingfield …
Smiley Bagel(2.00) is able to run off the same mark as finishing a short head runner up over C/D (1m 4f) on April 11th.
While at 4.00 Crack On Crack On makes a seasonal return after last being seen in November finishing a 1 length runner up to Qaysar over 7f at Kempton, who has since won twice, including a Class 2 at Newbury and is rated 90. Crack On makes Handicap debut today, over 7f from an opening mark of 81.
At Chelmsford in the evening card, I only noted one and that is Pocket Dynamo(5.50) who runs in a class 4 Novice Stakes over 5f having finished a 1/2 length runner up on debut at Brighton on April 24thto It’s The Only Way, who has since won again. The front two were 4 & 1/2 lengths clear of 3rd place. The Danger could come from Charlie Appleby’s Shellbrook. The Shamardal colt makes race course debut and is half brother W G Grace and has William Brook, for team Godolphin. The trainer has a knack of winning with 2 year old debutants.
A couple to mention across the English Channel, running at Longchamp….
Rabdan(12.10), is a Frankel Colt, who is trained by Andre Fabre for Al Shaqab racing and has a Derby entry, who won last time out. The other is also sired by Frankel, but is a filly called Aljezeera(1.20), who was previously with Luca Cumani. A Class 1 Listed winner over 1m 6f at Yarmouth when last seen before moving to France.
That’s all for today Folks…. Thanks for popping by!
All the Best – Charlie & Rich
