Hello and Welcome to a Saturday edition on arseonlinetips…. These are essentially Final Word blogs, for those that are interested. As the National Hunt season draws to a close and we can draw breath on what, in my opinion has been a fantastic season. So let’s crack on. This is the day for Nicky Henderson, his season has been full of trials and tribulation’s but the man just keeps winning and  I fully expect him to land a couple or 3 on the final day!

Top Notch(2.25) runs in the Oaksey Chase, Grade 2 over 2m 6f. The Grade 1 Novice Chase winner comes in fresh having missed Cheltenham and Aintree and you can put a line through his last run at Ascot in February. He is a duel Grade 2 winner for his owners Simon Munir and Issac Soude. They have retained jockey Daryl Jacob on board and Nicky Henderson will have the 7 year old ready to go for his final start of 2018.

3.00 Altior, who should win the Celebration Chase and complete a fine season, which has seen him land so many prizes including the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham and with form reading 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 dating all the way back to October 2015….

As with Top Notch, the owners have 2 runners in the Select Hurdle Grade 2 at 4.05. Wholestone, who has won once this season in January at Cheltenham, when winning the Rekeel Hurdle, but has since placed 3 times, when stepping up in trip to 3m and now drops back to 2m 5f and is the pick of Daryl Jacob of the two. The other runner for connections is Call Me Lord, who won on season return over 2m back in January but has finished 3rd in a Grade 2and was a neck Runner Up last time out at this course in a Grade 3 Hurdle. Nico de Boinville rides and it looks like the owners, could finish this contest with a 1-2…. and they would be delighted!

We have ONE for the Flat…..

Moonrise Landing(3.30 Ripon) Had one run last season in a Class 1 Listed 1m 6f contest at Nottingham, finishing a 3 length 3rd in April. That was the first run for 11 months after winning a York 1m 6f Class 1 Listed race by 3/4’s of a length from Quest For More(who later that season 2016 beat Vazirabad, now a 3 time Meydan Gold Cup winner). Anlophile was beaten over 2m at Lingfield in a Class 2 Handicap in the March. The 7 year old Dalakhani makes seasonal return after 381 days away….

And Finally…. A Frankel Filly runs in the same meeting(4.35) for Mark Johnston, Francophilia. Related to Galapiat and could be one for the Tracker….. And here is tomorrow’s…
