Not the best Thursday we could have hoped for…. PN fell, these things happen and although it’s disappointing, the welfare of the horse and Jockey are the most important thing… And the day you forget that and worry about a bet, is the day to walk away.
Peoples Nap Choices –
Exeter – Soft
2.05 -Handicap Chase – Class 3 – 2m 3f 48y
Flaming Charmer – Runner up to Paddy The Oscar on season return by 2 lengths, 8 lengths clear of the rest. Daklondike, who was 4th that day has since won while Flaming Charmer won over this distance at Chepstow in a class 4 handicap chase by 6 lengths. Flaming is also a C/D winner and has no issue with soft ground – 15/8
Sandown – Good to Soft
2.30 – Novice Hurdle – Grade 2 Class 1 – 2m 3f 123y
White Moon – Two from Two over hurdles, both wins over 2m 5f and on both of them by 6 lengths. Drop in trip no issue neither is the step up in class from Class 4. Won carrying a penalty at Exeter on November 15th, to win from Rhaegar – 7/4
Dundalk(AW) – Standard
8.00 – Maiden – 1m
Dhafeera – Beaten a Neck on Stable debut at this course over 7f last month, first run since arriving from France and now steps up an extra furlong – 11/10
PN Result(Thursday) – Drinks Interval – Fell…….
I shall hand you over to Charlie to fill you on the runners for today and a re cap of yesterday… Final Word also returns and I will see you there!
Cheers Rich, let’s kick things off with a look at yesterday’s results :
Pink Gin -Finished 2nd and was a loss.
Towering -Finished 5th and was a loss.
Midnight Gem -Finished 6th and was a loss.
.Dissapointed with Thursday’s results with all 3 selections losing. Hopefully get back on track with Friday’s Selections listed below.
Pickamix -Has a win and 3 places from last 4 starts including latest 3rd at Cheltenham in November over 3m 1f in a Class 3 Handicap Chase on Good to Soft ground. Has only been raised 1lb and should be in the thick of it again here.
Dashing Poet -Non runner no replacement.
Spring Garden – Still a maiden after 8 races although has placed in four of those and looks like its only a matter of time to get off the mark hopefully today is the day.
.well that’s my thoughts on Friday’s selections, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket.
Final Word –
The PN choices didn’t quite work out yesterday and with no Final Word, the day was not great…. But plenty to look forward to this weekend including the Tingle Creek, sadly Douvan is a Non Runner which leaves Fox Norton as the odd’s on Favourite! That will be for tomorrow, so let’s focus on today….
Sedgefield has an Inspection, so that is why Inniscastle Lad(1.15) was not included in the PN Choices, beaten a length last time by Joke Dancer, who has since won and can go one better today.
Nothing caught my eye at Chelmsford but over in Ireland at Dundalk, a couple caught my eye. Goodnight Irina(6.00) who was beaten by a nose over C/D last month and finally Captain Joy(8.30) who returns after 99 days away, last seen at Tipperary in August, but runs off 104, runner up of this mark and has won from 102. Pat Smullen is two from two aboard and was on board when Captain Joy won over C/D from 102…..
That is all for today folks….. Thanks for popping by!
Remember, to only bet what you can afford, if not just watch
All the best – Charlie & Rich
