Nice to land a PN winner on opening day of the month, hopefully we can build on that and with Charlie back among the winner’s, it’s a nice start… Let’s build on that….
Peoples Nap Choices –

Well Above Par – Runner up on season return and Chase debut to Barrys Jack(since won two hurdle races) in heavy conditions at Perth(2m). Fell 3 out at Ayr when in contention back in October – 3/1
1.05 – Novice Hurdle – Class 2 – 2m 6f

Newbury – Good to Soft
2.25 – Intermediate Hurdle – Class 1 Listed – 2m 69y
High Bridge – Two length 3rd to Elgin in The Greatwood at Ascot last month on season return. Form of that race is fantastic, with Elgin, Limited Reserve(2nd) and Verdana Blue(5th) all winning since – 11/4
PN Result(Friday) – Willoughby Court – WON 15/8…..
I shall pass you over to Charlie, to take you through yesterday and give you today’s selections. I will see you for Final Word –
Cheers Rich, let’s get straight down to Friday’s results listed below :
Chef Des Obeaux -Was a touch unlucky to finish 2nd to stablemate Santini who won well on debut and was mentioned in my write up as one to keep an eye on.
Powerful Symbol -Won well advised at 9-2 but drifted to 7-1 to make the day a profitable one.
0 0 Seven -Was unlucky finishing 3rd but was no match for the winner.
Just the one winner from my 3 selections on Friday, although can take some comfort from the performance as that’s a step in the right direction. We move swiftly onto Saturday’s selections and they are listed below.
Theinval -Has been consistent in the past, although made a major mistake last time out when falling at the first at Cheltenham, that run can be forgiven and looks primed to win hopefully today is the day.
Deeleys Double -Has gone close on a couple of occasions at Doncaster, although is still a maiden looks like a win could be on the agenda, just hope it’s today on the all-weather surface at Wolverhampton.
Mixboy -Has won twice in last 3 runs first at Ripon then at Catterick both over 1m 4f, is now 11lbs higher than that first win, debuts on the all-weather today and could still have enough scope to get involved here.
.Well that’s my thoughts on Saturday’s selections, Good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will hand you back over to Rich for The Final Word.
Final Word –
I am trying to be more selective with my PN choices, so there was only TWO more that made the PN short list….. Bangor, hold a NH card with Enjoy Responsibly(1.35) stepping up from 2m 5f to 3m after a 15 length winning return for new trainer Oliver Sherwood, after 18 months away from the track, up 15 for the win….. And the other that was noted is at Fairyhouse. Sutton Manor(12.15) has finished 4th behind Presenting Percy on chase debut, then 3rd behind the ultra impressive Monalee last month. Billy’s Hope, was behind Sutton and has since won well at Thurles last month…..
That is your lot folks…. Enjoy the fantastic racing on offer today
Remember if you cannot afford to bet, just watch
All the Best – Charlie & Rich
