Hello & welcome to another Monday edition of  the blog, the return of the PN & Charlie with his thoughts for the day. Sunday’s racing was very uninspiring, I guess it was always going to be after Saturday’s feast. Let’s get down to it…..

PN Result(Saturday) – Under Control – Unplaced……

He was back with a bang on Saturday with 2 winners & a place in the St Leger…. Here’s Charlie with his thoughts & I will catch you for Final Word –

Cheers Rich, let’s get straight down to Saturday’s Results :

Dan Troop –  Won as expected advised at 11-4 returned at 5-2

Stradivarius – Was unlucky In defeat finishing 3rd but taking nothing away from Capri who won well in the end.

Over Fly – Won as expected advised at 11-4 returned at 4-1

Fantastic day all round with 2 nice winners from 3 selections I put up. Hopefully get more of the same with Monday’s selections.

Well that’s Saturday’s results out of the way let’s get straight to Monday’s selections located below.

Adrrastos -Has 3 wins and 2 places from last 5 runs. Last two wins were both over 2m in Novice Chases, first at Worcester and then at Stratford. This race is slightly harder against tougher opposition, but if repeating those last two runs here could be a tough one to catch.

Win Advised

.

Altaria -Easy winner last time out at Bath over 1m 2f. Goes up in distance to 1m 3f and has been raised 4lb for that win but could still be involved here if in same frame of mind.

Win Advised

.

Gilmer -Has been racing against better opposition than this since winning at Ayr back in June. Although hasn’t won since then could bounce back after cheekpieces have been removed and has had a rest since the 31st July. I feel that the horse needed the rest and can get involved again here if in the right mood.

Win Advised

.Well that’s my thoughts on Monday’s races, good luck if following and please remember to keep stakes small so it doesn’t hurt your pocket. I will pass you back over to Rich for his final word.

Rich’s Final Word

What a super day of racing it was on Saturday, Galileo having another Group 1 winner added to his sire name, while Sea the Stars had the runners up…. See’s Grand Mare Urban Sea having the 1st 3 in the St Leger…… This section on Saturday also provided some winners ( 6/1, 11/4, 13/8, 10/11) but Charlie had a brilliant return, so Saturday for us here was a brilliant day. I am gutted that the PN choices didn’t run well & more annoyed that they didn’t win but you cannot have everything can you?!

I found a couple for Monday… Over at Galway(2.55) Creadan Grae has another shot in a maiden hurdle, last 3 runs has been progressive 4th, 3rd & 2nd…. While at Brighton, The Big Short(5.15) looks to make it 2 wins form last 3 runs after a head 2nd last time at Goodwood, with 3rd that day winning next time & S. De Sousa on board they are expecting another big run!

That’s all for today folks, have a good Monday & remember only bet what you can afford, if not just watch!
