Some good results on Friday for us here, sadly the PN was beaten again, by the better horse, no it wasn’t a horse, it’s a bloody turbo jet propelled machine…. These thing’s happen…..

Over to Charlie for his thoughts –
Cheers Rich lets get down to Friday’s results before we move onto Saturday’s Selections.
Tsundoku – Was a non runner stake returned.
Green Panda – Could only manage 4th and was a loss.
Culloden – Took command from the off and soon lead, was joined 1f out but rallied well and kept on to win by 3/4 length. Advised at 4-1 returned 9-4
. Another unlucky day with a non runner and a 4th place, but the Nap won well to save the day, we now move forward to Saturday’s races and my selections for that are listed below.
Beau Satchel – 3 time winner here previously although raced earlier in the week and finished 6th, that can be overlooked and if overcoming a wide draw can gain compensation today.
C’est No Mour – Won at Lingfield over 1m 2f then went to Windsor racing over 1m 3f and won again. Has been raised a further 5lbs for those wins and goes up in trip to 1m 4f and another bold run can’t be ruled out here.
Fivehundredmiles – Beat Amy Blair here over course and distance on the 19th May, was a fair 2nd next visit to Hamilton on 7th July when narrowly losing to Gulf of Poet’s. Then ran poorly again here on 20th July finishing 4th. I’m chancing horse to bounce back to form in this race having beaten main rival Amy Blair previously here and these two should fill first two places.
Well that’s my thoughts on Saturday’s races, good luck if following and I will pass you over to Rich for his Final Word.
Rich’s Final Thought –
Today see’s the return of Hayley Tur….. Oh wait, have we been here before…. Yeah we have… ok… Right. Today see’s the end of the Goodwood festival, but there is still plenty of racing to get stuck into & no doubt there will be plenty of headlines written…. Personally I though Battaash was superb again, I didn’t think the ground would be his thing but….. Wooooshhhhh & I cannot wait to see the race against Lady Aurelia.
There are a couple I have as my 5 to follow that run on Saturday, Crystal Ocean(3.00) & Brian the Snail(3.35) both at Goodwood. Brain had an injury previously & I hope he can return to form, while Crystal Ocean has Ryan Moore on board in a Group contest! I also think there could be a Pleasant Surprise in the 2.05 at Newmarket!
That’s all from me, I hope we keep you informed & entertained, but one thing before I quit(I mean GO) I would like to give a very special mention to young Jack Lander, who walked 161 miles in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund & deserves all the accolades given to him for walks. He was rightly given air time on ITV yesterday.
I would much rather hear stories like that regarding racing than what Mrs Smith -Jones is matching with her Primark shoes, Top Shop Dress & Wedding Hat!
