Over to Charlie for his Results and Selections –

Cheers Rich, let’s get straight down to Wednesday’s Results.

Londinium – Won well Advised Eachway at 9-1

Ebbesbourne – Was a non runner stake returned

Easy Tiger – Was another non runner again stake returned

Another 9-1 winner that’s Two in 2 days at Goodwood from me, not bad going considering the amount of rain that has landed there the past two days. I’m sticking with Goodwood again on Thursday hopefully get more of the same, so on that note please find my selections for Thursday along with write ups listed below.

Charlie’s Selections

Harlequeen – Was 3rd last year in the Oaks, was also 3rd in the Irish Oaks but was poor in the Yorkshire Oaks when last seen. Has been off track for almost a year and goes well fresh and has previous form on soft ground step up in trip shouldn’t be an issue and could go in at a nice price if race ready.

Eachway Advised

.

So Mi Dar – Has 4 wins and a 3rd place from last 5 runs. Beat Nezwaah in a listed race at Yarmouth. Raced at Chantilly latest  in a group 1 and was 3rd , pulled too hard and met some trouble in running but still managed to place 3rd, has form on soft ground and should relish the underfoot conditions.

Win Advised

.

Poet’s Society – Won on soft ground over 5f at Newmarket on 29th June with today’s jock W Buick in the saddle, has ran poorly since due to change in racing tactics. Should be involved here especially since reunited with jock who has won on horse before and if using same tactics for that win should see him go close here.

Eachway Advised

Rich’s Final Word –

It is a shame that the Biblical rain had to come & spoil the day at Goodwood, maybe even the rest of the week with, I’m sure plenty of runners being pulled due to the going changes. There was no Duel between Ribchester& Churchill, which was possibly the right decision. ITV’s coverage has been pretty good, but to be honest with you, I think there are better ways to fill time between races than the fashion stuff…. Anyway, I looked at the Goodwood card & found a couple that will like the conditions tomorrow –

Good Omen(1.50) Is a class 2 winner already after a 3/4 length win LTO & won a Doncaster Class 3 on soft ground, although the draw in the carpark(£15 so I heard)isn’t ideal &has some EW value. The Nassau(3.35) has 3 runners who have won on Soft or Yielding – Winter(Yielding) – Shutter Speed(Twice won on soft ground) & So Mi Dar( Class 2 soft ground winner). It is a decent race, with Duel Guineas winner Winter, stepping up in trip. The other I like is Poetic Steps(4.10) – Unbeaten in 2 runs, which included a soft ground win at Hamilton, over 6f by 2 lengths, steps up to 7f today.

Well there you have it another packed blog post with plenty to keep you busy until races start.

The People’s Nap vote result will be updated when voting closes. In the meantime please remember to keep stakes small and hopefully end the day with a few winners.

…Good Luck…
