Cheers Rich, we will start by looking at Tuesday’s Results-

Corpus Chorister – Dictated from the start and was pushed along 2f out ridden clear over 1f out and won by 3 lengths. Advised at 5-2 and Sp returned 5-2
Valley Of Rocks – Ran as though the saddlebags were full of Rocks stayed at the back finishing last and was a loss.
Well good day again bagging 2 nice winners from the 3 Selections I put up.
Now that’s the results out the way let’s get down to Wednesday’s Selections listed below.
Tarte Tropezienne – Out of Nathaniel and Dansili this filly was 5th on debut at Goodwood and looks the one to be on here.
Kebir De La Vis – French bred makes UK racing debut for Warren Greatrex who has a 28% strike rate in bumpers.
Selection -Another French bred runner, has won twice in last 4 races latest win at Yarmouth in a class 4 , won by 2 length and a 5lb hike in weights may not be enough to stop a repeat if in the mood.
Rich’s Final Word –
Before I get into a long rant(Unlikely) I thought I would let you know that the 2 I mentioned yesterday, that had failed to make the PN choices, both won! Another is below….
Only 1 missed out on the PN choices cut today & that was Fitzwilly, who runs at Lingfield, over 2m at 4pm & has finished in the places on last 2 runs, S.De Sousa is on board. Now onto the Rant(sic) –
I was delighted to get a PN winner yesterday, when Utility was given a cracking ride by Aiden Coleman at Worcester, the same can be said of Ruby Walsh in the last at Killarney yesterday. Credit to both Jockey’s.
It is sad when a horse loses it’s life, devastating for it’s owners & all connected with the horse, that said, we all know it could happen at anytime as it proved yesterday at both Worcester & Killarney. The Racing Post App, described the horse as ‘Dead’ Yes this was factually correct, if not very Insensitive towards the horse’s connections. I was told, this is the way it has been denoted for a while, personally I think the term is harsh, cold & unjustified. Fatally Injured, Put Down or Euthanized would be better. This is just my opinion.
I would also like to point out, that the Racing Post App, did remove the ‘Dead’ & replace with Fatally Injured.
Yes I like a good jump on a bandwagon, but don’t we all??? But out of respect, we normally wouldn’t use the term ‘Dead’ in an obituary, so why do we need it used like this??
