PN Result(Sunday) – Steel Native – Pushed along for a long way, but only managed 2nd… still a nice run considering
Southwell 3.40 Beggars Wishes 11-2
.Was pulled up in penultimate race in July 2016 at Worcester over 2m 4f , before making a winning return on 10th February at Bangor over 2m has been raised 9lbs for that but still looks as though further progress is achievable and a chance is taken for a repeat here.
Taunton 4.20 Leg Lock Luke 9-4
.Has placed over further and takes a slight drop in trip here and with more preferable ground in his favour is bound to go close in this slightly easier race.
Kempton 4.30 The Warrior 4-1
.Has modest form but a recent 3rd at Lingfield on return from a break after being gelded showed a slight improvement and a chance is given that step back up to 1m will suit and could easily win if prominently ridden.
The best of the rest…….
Kempton- AW – Standard
2.30 – Handicap(Div2) – Class 6 – 1m 3f
Henry Grace – 4 & 1/2 length 8th last time out in an Amateur jockey’s race at Lingfield but race previously had won in this Division & Class here over 1m. Form before win was good with two 2nd’s & a 3rd place finish here from last 3 visit’s since October
3.00 – Handicap – Class 6 – 7f
Bounty Pursuit – Won 2 on the bounce before a poor run last time out when away slower than a snail from the gates left him trailing well behind & no run for your money. Having won at Southwell & Wolves, I can see no reason why cannot resume that thread under Silverster De Sousa today, if he can get him to break…….
2.20 – Novice Hurdle – Class 4 – 2m 3f 1y
Bags Groove – Ran poorly in a listed contest last time out, but now back in calmer waters, he was 5thn that day & Messire De Obeaux was 2nd & has since placed at Cheltenham in the Neptune….
2.50 – Novice Hurdle – Class 4 – 2m 104y
High Street – Paul Nicholls has found a nice race to get this one in front, having been 3rd in a Class 2 event at Mussleburgh last month, that came after a Class 4 C/D win by 7 lengths
Well there you have it another jam packed blog post with plenty to keep you occupied before racing starts. The People’s Nap vote result will be updated when voting closes.
